Hey TRS Fans,
Does anybody else play any muds (Multi-User dungeon games)? If so, what?
The text version, pre-cursor to MMORPGs some of you must have at least played in the past?
I've played some Achaea (pretty new actually), and starting to play Lustrina. Anyone else out there playing some great text adventures?
Fuck the graphics cards.

Remember trying out mud many years ago, I got stuck at at a point and verbally abused a troll and almost got banned by an admin that was watching me :/ never had any adventures playing mud though :(

Not now but years ago I played. I think it was in '92 or so. Actually, I think mine wasn't even a MUD because I remember playing it and hearing about these cool new things called "MUD"s, haha.
Mine was called Crossroads. I think it was a locally based text adventure.

I used to MUD big time in my high school/college days. Haven't really gone back due to the pace of life now, but it was great fun. Amazing what experiences you can create with text, fonts, colors, and scripting language.

I played in a Shadowrun MUD for awhile. I enjoyed it, but got bored after some time with it. The barriers to entry for casual players were too high, and not enough people were participating.

On a side note, I would love an MMORPG of Shadowrun, not that it will ever happen.

I never really got into them, but I am friends with two different people who met their spouses playing in them back in the 90s.

Yeah! I used to play Castle Perilous back in the day - wow, haven't thought about that in years. There are still MUDs around?
