Came by this today and a co-worker and I can't figure out what the hell it is.

No clue but the shape reminds me of the cars in the future racer video game series F-Zero.

It is a curvy "sportscar like" object to show off paint colours in different lightings. Those models are fairly common in the auto industry - indeed we used to have them in the "organic finishes" (paintline) lab to show colours on coated steel products at different lighting angles.
