Just curious if I should stick around and wait for it or not...

Considering it has been stated that the R3G will never have a set release date/time... you should never except another episode, I'm not saying they won't make more, just don't get your hopes up in case it doesn't come for a month or more.

NEVER?

...
I feel the need to apologize for the Gazette's erratic release schedule as of late. Originally I thought it would be a fun, easy project for me to churn out in addition to my actual full-time job here. Sometimes it is. Other times I'm either slammed, or we need to squeeze in a last-minute shoot and I lose a camera person, or we're down an editor, or our one extra camera mysteriously breaks, or something else happens that pushes the Gazette out. I know it sucks to wait for something and then not get it as promised. Unfortunately, since the Gazette is less of an actual show and more of a behind-the-scenes deal, it's always the first to go if we've got deadline issues. We're a startup working with a pretty small team and are still figuring out how much content we can realistically pull off without biting off more than we can chew. I'm definitely guilty of that.

So... I think it's safe to say that although all of our shows are on regular, weekly schedules, the Gazette won't always be. I'll make every effort to post in this forum and give you all a heads up either way so you aren't left wondering, but it just won't be an iron-clad weekly thing, at least not for now. Sorry guys.

There's some silver lining in all of this, though. For those of you who enjoy seeing my silly mug on a regular basis, there's a lot of cool stuff on the horizon and you're going to be seeing a lot more of me in '08. For those of you who hate me or my grating voice or think I'm a jerk, apologies in advance.

I would think that would be Sarah saying that the Gazette will not be on a regular schedule...

NEVER?As I said, she never said it wouldn't have a set date and time.

I would think that would be Sarah saying that the Gazette will not be on a regular schedule...Well, your interpretation is wrong. She is saying if they get slammed, it will be pushed aside for that week. Otherwise, expect it when it's supposed to be out. And as long as your quoting Sarah Lane, you forgot to quote this one:

In 2008, I will try harder to deliver Gazette episodes on time.

On time? What? I thought you said it was never going to be on time? Oh, I guess you were wrong.

there was a release time for R3G posted on the "new" site yesterday. i remember that it was there; seems like the release was supposed to be today, maybe. but that's gone...

I would like to think so, since they posted a 7pm release time for today on the front page.

Ok, it's one thing to be upset that people are bashing 1 or 2 episodes, but it's another thing entirely to avoid your fanbase and not even say what the status is of the show.

She hasn't even logged in to the forum since 1-17-08.

It's not fair to those of us (myself included) that enjoy the Gazette.

What would be fair is fair warning not to keep an eye out if it is or isn't going to be broadcast. That way, we won't be tuning in to see if it's there or not.

I understand Sarah's got a lot of producer duties. But a minute or two to check into the boards and say "Hey, sorry, but no Gazette tonight" would be nice. Hell, even TV Guide tells you when a show's been "pre-empted".

Please don't think that I'm spouting hatred for the show. I'm really not. I would just like it if we'd know where the Gazette stood.

Pretty simple .. If you're not going to release an episode, don't post on your main page that you are. I think that would alleviate most of the ill feelings about this subject. If most of your viewers are visiting your website, it might be a good idea to have someone maintain the upcoming releases panel.

On another note - I wonder if any of your shows have noticed a decrease in views since your new site was released. I for one have not watched as much because of the lack of a recently released episodes panel.

I concure I've recently started watching this show and enjoy it very much, though understanding that alot of work has to go on to produce and deliver shows the only thing that slightly annoyed me was the front page schedule saying it would be released at 7pm EST?

Many thanks for all the shows that revision 3 produces as they are extremely entertaining and I hope to see more of.
