TV: Smash Lab

Seeing all the commercials for Smash Lab (http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/smash-lab/smash-lab.html), I thought, "Oh this'll be cool!"

Watching it last night...well lets just say I fell asleep before it was over. I'm not saying it's a failure, but compared to Mythbusters the hosts and the presentation are not up to par.

Of course Mythbusters has had a few seasons now to hone things, so I'm not completely writing Smash Lab off.

I watched the episode that aired during sneek peek week. Thought the show was pretty Rad. The hosts didn't seem as good as Mythbusters but that may change over time. It was like Mythbusters but no BS just the explosions. The slo mo cams seemed to be a bit better than the ones on Mythbusters as well. I will continue to watch and see where it goes.

yeah thats what it looked like it was going to be, a little more "mass appeal" than mythbusters, aka more explosions. haven't seen it yet but i'd like to. as great as mythbusters can be, it's too scripted now, the conversations used to feel so much more real, so a change of pace could be fun.

I saw this show and really didn't like it too much. About 15 minutes in I just fast-forwarded to the tests they were doing and that was all I really needed to see. These characters are supposed to be likeable?

Mythbusters is starting to jump the shark as well when it comes to being cheesy. I don't care too much about the scripted stuff or the drama between them. Just test your myths and I'm happy.
