I can't imagine digg users watching this, but that's what it seems like your aiming for. Digg users have read all the stories discussed on diggnation, but they watch for Kevin and Alex's input on the stories and their everyday banter. Digg users have watched all these videos and have read most of the comments, so why should they bother with this show? Nothing else is added except for Jessica's obviously corny jokes. Something needs to be changed with the format in order to appeal to digg users, which is a huge percentage of Revision3 watchers.
Just my 2 cents.

i kinda agree... if the story is popular as in one of the top 7 etc its more then likely that 80% if not more of digg users have seen and dugg them... what this show should do is Best videos on digg that have yet to be dugg

I could be wrong, but maybe they're going to do away with the videos being on Diggnation, and leaving more room for top stories?

I think this is perfect for those AppleTV/Other mediaplayer set-top box owners. They might not have a computer or they might not visit digg weekly.

I think their target audience is 40-year old Math professors with closet fetishes for Jessica Corbin and a amusing interests in YouTube videos. Am I wrong?

Dugg!
I don't think diggReel is for the geeks who have digg.com for home page. Maybe it's for lure some not-really-geek-but-interested-in-the-internets kind of dude...

Same thing. :) We've read most of the top stories too, but watch because Kevin and Alex are amusing. For Digg Reel to make it, I think they're going to need to make the host/hosts amusing enough to watch for the sake if the host/hosts with the videos being secondary. Kevin and Alex are like talk show hosts with the topic of Digg.

I watch Diggnation because, when I'm on Digg. I like to guess what they're going to talk about.

I'd more likely watch if they showed the whole videos since I rarely even go to digg.com anymore. Most of the times I've went were due to diggnation being released too late on a Friday for me to download, so download the mp3 at work.

I really have to agree, the whole video is a must. Also Jessica seemed a little redundant in the first episode, not her fault just needed better dialogue I think.
I'll certainly be interested to see how it goes, but please more editorial between and indeed over the clips.
I think you should be aiming for the "feel" of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K), at least the "movie review" bit of it anyway. Perhaps Jessica needs a robot co-host :)
