Favorite Hero is a tie betwwen Hal Jordan Green Lantern and The Question, depending on my mood.

Favorite villian from a strictly design standpoint is Modok. You can't beat a big floating head with tiny arms and legs.

Modok reminds me too much of Krang from Ninja Turtles

Okay, so are we doing favorite hero as a concept, or how that hero has been written, aka, his actual stories? Cuz my favorite hero since I was 5 was Spider-Man, just because he seemed so different than Superman and Batman. But none of his actual stories have been as awesome as Daredevil's have. So I'm just gonna say The Badger.

Favorite villain? Once again, the Badger. He's duplicitous in nature.

pfft, I will answer. Clayface in that like early 90's cartoon was such an awesome Villian ... I'm all about Batman's villians being as tragic and as genuinely ****ed up as he is.

At anyrate,
FAV Hero: Either Captain America or The Flash (Barry Allen)
FAV Villian: Galactus

Umm...I never read a lot of comics when I was younger. But, I did watch me a LOT of Saturday morning cartoons. Batman: The Animated Series made me a life long Batman fan. However, I also have a soft spot for the X-Men and good ole' Spidey.

VILLAIN: The Joker

Yo, and excellent convo, making me wish I'd started posting here earlier. Allow me to present my own long and boring essay on the subject...

Gotta go with Superman here, folks. Think about it: Here's a guy, raised like any other kid out in middle America, and one day (as a teen, no less) he discovers that he's basically god. He can be anywhere as fast as he wants, he can see and hear everything, no one can hurt him, and nothing can stop him. And what does this guy do? He dedicates his life to protecting those who can't protect themselves. He could'a just robbed banks or taken over the damn world, but instead he works everyday, gives up any semblance of a normal life, to be there whenever Earth and her people need him. Sounds like a great character to me.

I also really relate to his stance on how far to take his task. He protects humanity so that humanity can go on living. He doesn't try to solve our problems for us because that's our job. He's just there to make sure that mankind can live out it's own destiny without being crushed by a meteor or anything. That faith in mankind, that ability to believe that we'll find our way on our own... I really identify with that.

Batman's cool and certainly badass, but in the end he's just a pouty rich kid with serious issues. I really just want someone to walk up to him one day and say "Yo, Bruce, your parents died when you were 8. You, what, 40 now? Hang up the cowl, get some therapy, and stop putting young acrobats in tights in your cave!" Seriously, I get the character and his nuances, but enough's enough after a while.

Spidey's certainly up there in the favorite character list. He's got all the angst of Bats, but with a delightful sense of humor about his situation. "Ah yeah, life's sh*tting on me, but whatcha gonna do? Pop-culture joke!" Gotta love that. Maybe why the movies kinda got on my nerves. I love them, but every five munites it's "AHHH! I don't wanna be Spider-Man anymore! Why do I have to be Spider-Man?! I want to LIVE, damn you!" Too much angst, not enough of the sense of humor. Love those flicks, but dry those friggin' eyes, Toby!

Yikes! Sorry, I'll shut up now...

Have you read Red Son? It's an alternate history/reality for Superman. What if he was the USSR's protector? It's basically the exact opposite of what you just put there. One of the best Superman stories I've ever seen.
