Are there known RSS issues with the new site? My subscription in itunes (ver7.6.29) is complaining about the TRS and DiggNATION feeds. The error says the feed is an invalid URL.
(http://revision3.com/trs/feed/mp3) I can see that the url redirects to http://revision3.com/index.php?show=trs&r3feedtype=feed&r3feed=mp3 and that the view source is showing content, but Firefox isn't showing the RSS feed as properly formatted either.

I also seem to be having some trouble in iTunes, Miro, and in Mail.app for the Blog updates. I'm guessing it's all just on account of the new site. I'm hoping it gets worked out.

Yea, having same problems, iTunes saying iFanboy, Diggnation (HD), and TRS (LQ) feeds have an invalid URL, and Tekzilla (both HD and LQ) aren't even downloading the new episode.

Yeah, all my Revision3 shows are no longer updating in iTunes either, I haven't tried resubscribing, but it'd really rather not have to. Can someone at Rev3 please comment and let us know if this is a problem that is getting fixed or not.

yesterday diggnation, trs, and tekzilla rss feeds gave errors or no items listed but today seem to be fixed. thanks for the quick fixes.

Diggnation, Tekzilla, Totally Rad Show, and Revision 3 Gazette (all HD or quicktime high quality) no longer work on with the Zune's podcasting software for me. I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing but it still cannot get new listings.

I use Lemon 2.2. All of my rev3 feeds are now downloading every episode. I just had to unsubscribe to every revision3 feed to keep my drive from collapsing. Anyone else have this problem. I'm not re-subscribing until I get confirmation of a fix. I didn't notice the problem until my computer reached a low disk space warning. This is nuts..

Zune software is working now. The Tekzilla logo did not pop up again since I resubscribed. It's probably the software itself and not the rss but might warrant a look into.

Since the site redesign, I haven't been able to get the RSS feed to work on my PSP. I deleted my old subcripitions feeds and went to the site. The browser can't click on the subscribe button or the subcribe options tab, so i emailed myself the links for the small quicktime file feeds.
I haven't checked today (Jan 20) but as of last night it still wasn't picking up the feed. When I clicked the link all i get is the rss page text.
Any solutions or others with this problem?

I have the same problem. PSP does not recognize any of the Revision 3 feeds as RSS feeds and does not offer the option to subscribe. If i export an OPML from Firefox, it imports and the feed works, so it is down to how the feed is being presented to the PSP browser. Server maybe does not have the correct MIME type for the XML page???
Hope you guys figger it out. It's just annoying for those who wish to sub the first time.

I'm trying to subscibe to diggnation's podcast (small quicktime) but when I point my psp browser to here: http://revision3.com/diggnation/feed/quicktime-small
my psp opens the feed in text form and doesn't give me the option to add it as a channel. Any ideas?

I have a PSP and can verify that this is happening to me as well. I also typed in the address in the PSP's browser and it still happened.
I already have this RSS channel set up on my PSP and verified it's the same address. The RSS channel does still work on my PSP.
Some on who knows for about RSS will have to answer.
I really apreciate how well Rev3's rss video feeds (small Qiuicktime) work with the PSP. Not all sites are so PSP friendly!

We've made some fixes to the RSS feeds. I'm hoping we've got everything resolved for you guys (from PSP to Zune, iTunes, Miro, etc). Please do give it a test and report back here if anyone is still having issues.

I am writing my own rss reader/automated downloader and have been having a lot of problems with the feeds lately and I have two issues..
First, I had to turn on unsafe header parsing because of this error that was being generated by only revision3 feeds:
The server committed a protocol violation.
Section=ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF
is that fixed now?
Secondly, the Systm RSS feed is still having problems:
Visual Studio returns the exception:
Reference to undeclared entity 'Atilde'. Line 270, position 84.
Opera returns basically the same error:

For the past 2 days I've been unable to get the systm, tekzilla and Rev3 Gazette feeds to load on my iTunes. I just keep getting the same little exclamation mark next to the title.
This is weird! I subscribe to other rev 3 podcasts so I wonder why it's just them. I've tried to delete and re-subscribe, but nothing!
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I nearly missed systm yesterday!

are the torrent feeds coming back...if not I'm thinking i'm done with rev3...this manual downloading is too much a pain. I can't download off the servers because my crap internet connection always drops...the only thing that saved me was that the torrents could resume.
Please...bring back the torrents. I like the shows but if I can't reliably watch them...well...I don't think I'll be getting many more.

Revision3 Gazette and Tekzilla are still giving me errors. I even deleted Tekzilla from my iTunes installation and tried to resubscribe to the HD feed, and iTunes can't even resolve the proper name of the podcast (it shows "http://revision3.com/tekzilla/feed/quicktime-high-definition" as the name).
Strangely enough, other shows are okay. Today's edition of The Totally Rad Show downloaded just fine, and others like Diggnation and PixelPerfect don't give errors when performing refreshes.

I am getting a
"An invalid XML was returned from http://revision3.com/tekzilla/feed/xvid-large"
when trying to access the feed.
I am using firefox with the Wizz Rss 2.1.9 plug-in
also when I run it through feed validator it shows several errors

I am also having trouble with the Tekzilla feeds. It looks like the high definition quicktime feed via Torrents is gone completely, and the ones that do exist are timing out or blank.

I'm having issues with the Tekzilla feed as well. I'm getting "Network connection timed out" in iTunes, and trying to browse directly to the feed with Firefox doesn't work either (after several minutes nothing comes up.) I'm using http://revision3.com/tekzilla/feed/quicktime-large/

I can't get any of the feeds on the site to work.
If I try the Miro subscribe feed, Miro gives me an error that says "Couldn't load feed at ...... http error)
If I try any of the regular RSS feeds the same thing.
Some of the feeds work in Feedemon but are very slow to load up, many of them time out.
So there are still problem. I had noticed my Tekzilla and Gazette feeds in Miro had died so I removed and tried to resubscribe and this led to all these problems.

I haven't checked today yet but I am having issues with the RSS feeds for Tekzilla, Tekzilla Daily, Systm and SubSystm. I keep getting duplicates for anything prior to December of last year. it had gotten to the point where I unsubscribed for a week or so to see if it got cleared up.

yeah i checked the feeds in safari..and they are there. they just arent updated in miro..or itunes from what ive seen.

Miro won't accept the feeds. It doesn't find new episodes, and if I try and resubscribe I get an HTTP error. The feeds open fine if I just click the link in Firefox.
Update: The Diggnation HD feed works fine in Creative's ZENcast organizer, which I use for audio podcasts (it can play video, but Miro is better), so it seems that it's an issue with Miro (and iTunes?).

I am using Thunderbird for my RSS reader and in addition to the issues others are having. I have the problem that certain episodes those prior to December keep downloading so I have to keep deleting the duplicates. If this keeps up I will have no choice but to unsubscribe.

I'm kind of in the same boat.
I don't mind using iTunes or some other RSS feeder to automatically download shows but I prefer to use Bit torrent.
(Plus I just like showing that Bit torrent has legitimate uses):)

:confused::confused:It's been 5 days since a Revision3 employee/mod posted. Is this issue going to be fixed anytime soon? If I need to start downloading episodes directly, I will be done with Rev3.:mad: My EVA8000 used to stream the shows directly via the RSS feeds so I don't have to download/take up space that I don't have. Actually, I don't even need a pc on to view these shows on my TV but if I need to start doing it manually, like I said I'm done and so are a lot of people I know. Too bad as this looked to be the future of streaming media.:eek:

That depends on your reader. As I already mentioned ZENcast can download the file with out problems, and if I subscribe in Google Reader, I get a download link too. Furthermore if you subscribe to a non-podcast feed in Miro, it doesn't give you an HTTP error, it just shows an empty feed. So to me it seems to be something else that's causing the problem.

When I use Juice to download via rss it works fine. When I'm in iTunes you can't tell which size and format each show is. It just says Diggnation for like 3 of them and for TRS, Tekzilla, and the others. Is there a way make it show what format they are on iTunes?

Well, the DL.TV feed for instance also points to the episode page http://feeds.ziffdavis.com/ziffdavis/dltvipodpspvideo, but it has a media enclosure, as you can see in the Feedburner feed. If you view it as XML: http://feeds.ziffdavis.com/ziffdavis/dltvipodpspvideo?format=xml, you can see that the media enclosure is not shown, in Firefox (but the feed works in Miro). So I'm pretty sure that it's not the issue.
But maybe there's some issue with the enclosure.

Well, I opened up Miro earlier today and it started to download the latest Diggnation and Tekzilla. But the problems may have returned, I don't know.

All these issues are being caused due to the XML code being invalid (non-standard). They either need to go back to the "old" code or switch to something like Feedburner, which uses a valid XML code. I have a hardware box that parses the code and works for every other feed I enter except the ones on Rev3. It always gives me an "Invalid XML code" error message.

Still not working for me in Miro. Bit bad of an internet based media company
I am having problems updating with my Zune software for all Rev3 show feeds. I can't add new ones nor update my current ones. I looked at the feed URL's with IE7 and Firefox and they appear fine in there. I also just checked the feeds with TVTonic on my Media Center and they look just fine. All updates are as expected there. Very strange.

I can't get any of the RSS feed to work with PSP Media Manger 2.5a. The error message comes back immediately and just says "unable to add this feed. [Feed URL]".

That's exactly what I was thinking. Seriously, how long does it take to fix a few lines of code. This has been an issue since they rolled out the new site. Between this and the other issues with text being cut off on a lot of the pages and the general look of the new site, makes them look kinda amatuerish at best IMHO.

None of my subscribed RSS feeds seem to be updating in Miro. They stopped working sometime on Friday it seems as I never received the new Tekzilla or Diggnation. I subscribe to the quicktime High-def versions of those shows (and most others when available). I don't receive any messages when just checking for new episodes (none show up). When removing and adding the feed again, I get a HTTP error. I'm wondering if something in the feeds is formatted wrong.

per the RFC;
"a bare CR or LF MUST NOT be substituted for CRLF within any of the HTTP control structures (such as header fields and multipart boundaries)."
As you can see it is only doing LF there, not CRLF as required by the spec.
Good catch. I've updated the bug report with that info. I'll send an email off to Rev3 too I guess.

Ok so far the tekzilla and tekzilla daily RSS feeds appear to be working correctly but the RSS feeds for Systm and SubSystem are still jacked. While systm seems to be updating with the new episodes (will have to wait until there is a new subsystem episode to find out on that one). The RSS reader is still continually downloading old episodes from Systm and SubSystm over and over again. If you need to know which episodes that keep downloading over and over again they are:
Systm Episodes: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25
&
SubSystm Episodes: 1,2,3
Please fix this. If not I will have no choice but to stop subscribing and watching Rev3 shows because I am now about to do the manual method just because it can not be fixed.

All seems well to me. Don't know if this is an error or intentional, but I subscribed to Tekzilla and it is bringing down both Tekzilla and Tekzilla Daily in the same feed. Seems like a minor thing though, all in all.

Yeah my only problem seems to be with the older Systm and SubSystm episode. This is really driving me freaking nuts.

I'm finally getting into Rev3..
3 out of 4 Rev3 podcasts download all the way but show up with a .m4v extinsion.. any idea's as to what I am doing wrong??
I'm using Juice to get podcasts..
Mp3's go to my Creative mp3 player.
Video's usually end up on my PSP slim.
I just tried the Primetime grabber with same problem.

Once again, I can't download any shows using the RSS feeds.

Error:
The server has committed a protocol violation. Section-ResponseHeader Detail=CR must be followed by LF.
This is the 2nd time this has happened (as mentioned my the earlier posts) and this time, it's been happening since 01 March 08.
