Are you using High Definition? Don't, it won't work. Use Large.

It's what ever format that is put on iTunes.

Last time I checked there was only one version of 'the Digg Reel" on iTunes and it will not play on my 3rd gen nano. I suggest different versions.

I got the Digg Reel to play on my ipod classic but first I had to convert it. Now it's listed under 'movies' instead of where it should be under 'podcasts' on my ipod but it does work.
Can somebody help me out here? None of the iPod/iTouch devices can play the HD format so why is it still setup up for the iTunes feed?
