REV3's stunningly new SLOW website & forums

I just wanted to see if this was just me or not... however, I don't think I'm really going to hear from the people that are in the same situation as I am since they won't be able to get to the forums.

Ever since the new REV3 "sweet new upgrade" it takes FOREVER to load the fourms and the main site. I type in the REV3 forum URL, and have to wait about 5+ minutes before it will finally load. I never get a timeout, it just takes FOREVER to load. I have to sit here and watch LOADING in my firefox TAB.

In fact, I'm typing this post in notepad while I wait for it to load.

Anyway, both sites are completly unusable right now. So, sorry if there is a post about this already, but I'll be damned if I'm going to wait 30 minutes before I can get a search on the forums to see if they are working on this issue.

Can someone respond in here if this is an issue being worked on?

Still a little slow, but lightning fast compared to the last couple days!

I'm curious as to why it was so slow. DNS problem? Server problem? Scripting problem?

yeah ,not to bad today., but last night! it was SOO bad, i was trying to watch some web Drifter and lord jesus, felt going to bake a cake to pass the loading time!

It's just been the forums that load slow for me.
few min just to load a page or log in.

it seems to have improved a bit, although the images still take quite some time to load I have the impression. I like the new design, but as some others have noted, I miss the list of recently added shows. I guess I should start using RSS feeds for that, also because this seems to be the only way to get the high-def quicktime files...

It's alot better right now still takes a few seconds longer than it use to but no where near as bad as it was.

I can get to the mainpage of the forum in Firefox. When I clock on "General," I get this:

In IE, it works fine. I understand tech issues and all, but this is just annoying.

Thats been the only way I could get to the site these 2 or so months. I'm glad to hear its not just me. Rev3 needs to figure this out, I started having this issue when they put the ads on the site.

Took me AT LEAST 3-5 min to go to the forums and login last night. It seems to be working perfectly now. Probably because of all of the site construction.

Hmm. The site has been SO much faster for me, right from the get go with the new site. I mean, there's little to no lag whatsoever when clicking links or posting topics.

Its been pretty slow for me but I have only been on today since the new site went up. I also have been getting some database error pages. Strange. Looks cool though.

exactly what "maintenance" were the forums down for?

Now everything is WORSE than it has ever been..WSOD(white screen of death) appears more than ever the forums are slower than ever..the hell is going on? :confused:

The Flash video is slow too. And it's not like YouTube where you can let it load, then watch later. It's streaming. If you go back a few minutes it start all over again from that point. Really sucks, and with the slowness of the site, it is useless and unwatchable.

Call me crazy but I suspect they will get it working again at some point. Stuff happens. It's ok. Life will go on. :rolleyes:
