So I just took the revisoin3 survey and it actually wasn't bad, fairly painless. After I finished though, I thought back and realized I forgot to mention something in one of my answers. In the survey I said that I watch Rev3 shows in flash on the site or download them via bit torrent, but I forgot to mention my FAVORITE method of watching ANYTHING online.
Stage 6 (www.stage6.com)
it streams like flash so you just click and the video starts, but it has mpg4 quality and a great control panel in fullscreen, so it's just like watching an Xvid off your HD.
I know you guys have experimented with stage 6, there is a diggnation page for example: http://www.stage6.com/Diggnation
I just hope you guys consider updating it regularly and linking to these videos from your site. I'm sure they have a bunch of weird Divx Licensing, but as far as I'm concerned, they have the best video delivery system on the web right now.
I have used stage6 many times before and divx related and it is great, and it is another good option to have but since you can watch it here or download in HD then what would be the point. I guess if you are somewhere else and dont have time to download stage6 has the best quality.

Well I hear what your saying, but you kinda just stated the point. "you can watch it here or download it in HD"
Why not just watch it in HD, instantly, without needing to download a thing? Stage6 is just such a great presentation method, I mean I'm a fanatical mac user, but I'll check stage6 for a movie trailer before going to apple.com or using itunes (iTunes by the way is a pretty crappy video player).
Is the content on stage6 HD? I know its really good quality but I don't think it's HD. I think it really is only useful if you are out an about and what to watch it quickly. Other then that, it does not take that long to downlaod the video from here. This could only be me, I enjoy getting an archive of the shows, so later I can watch it or keep track of things.

Well it's real divx video, most of the content is around dvd quality, but I've seen 480p and 720p content up there, you can have video with crazy non-standard aspect ratios at any resolution you want.
I think being able to stream video is important though and for more than just being on the go. For instance I completely ran out of HD space a couple months ago, so whenever I wanted to watch a REV3 show I would watch it in flash on the site, cause i just didn't have room to download it. It was at the point where if I wanted to pirate some movie that just hit the net, I'd have to delete some other flick first, and that was always tough to do.
Ok, here's what it comes down to: A large percentage of people watch REV3 content on their site in flash, they've told us this. Why not offer the same content presented in the same way, but with higher resolution and better controls?
Edit: Here's (http://www.stage6.com/High-Definition-Trailers-and-Teasers/video/1204855/Batman-Begins-Trailer-2-HD-720p) a 720p trailer for Batman Begins, just the first thing I found, there's even 1080p stuff, so yeah it can handle that.
You have made your point, and it is right. They should update it. It's another great way to get content you want.

Hey I hope I didn't come across as too hostile there, I'm just trying to keep the thread alive and make my point. In retrospect I really shouldn't expect a ton of replies here at 2:30 AM.

My favourite viewing method isn't an option...downloading the HD files directly to my PS3. (blasted .MOV container)

Nope, I enjoy a good conversation about something like that. Good points, I just wanted to make clear that I really only download the HD files off the site, haven't tried much else yet.

I just wanted to bump this during daylight hours, cause I still think this is a good idea.
