That is pretty cool, I would totally go if that wasn't the day Milwaukee Brewers tickets go on sale - I will be at Miller Park from 8PMish the 22nd until 10amish the 23rd so I don't think I'll be able to stay awake through 12 hours of movies.

What cities? I'd consider going. Old Country is good enough to see again. Though I do have some concerns about Juno.

Thanks for the heads up! I always want to see the Best Picture noms., but never seem to get around to doing it.
If I'm not out of town, I think I'll be checking this out!

Haha I just saw this on the web this morning and came here to make a post about it too :)
Anyway, here's the link which has the theaters list: Clicky (http://www.amctheatres.com/promos/showcase/?newLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.movietickets.com%2Fh ouse_detail.asp%3Fexid%3Damc%26house_id%3D9894%26r date%3D02%2F23%2F2008&GO=GO)
You don't need to watch them all, you can come and go as you please, so the maximum length is about 12 hours.
I want to go to this so bad but I'm stuck on campus. :(

Man, that's a GREAT deal. Too bad I've already seen No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood, and I don't want to see "Keira Knightley period drama #4173." The value is sort of lost at that point.

Agreed completely.
Besides I couldn't go even if I wanted to, since there are no AMC theatres in Canada.

I think I will be doing this. I've already seen 4 of the 5 movies and I do not think I would sit through Atonement. Thanks for posting this.

See but that's what's so great about the line up (and I think they probably scheduled the movies with this in mind ;)), you eat a late breakfast, or a brunch as it were, then watch Michael Clayton and There Will Be Blood. Now go get a late lunch, go hit a few balls at the local batting cages or driving range, go relax for 2 1/2 hours, then come back fully refreshed and watch Juno and No Country for Old Men. Then to a late dinner. A perfect Knightley-less day.
:D

I think all those movies in a row would not be fair to the movies because you'll forget about them and move on to the next. I think you have to watch one per night and let it sink in.
Watching them all in one sitting is a bit too much in my opinion.

What kind of self-respecting geek wouldn't be down for a movie marathon?! ;)

I wouldn't mind a marathon of those movies after I had seen them individually, but watching them all for the first time ever in one sitting, in my opinion, would take away from each film and what it has to offer.
