I found Kickin' a little hard to watch, although not because of Dan, the cinematography was great... it's the actors... yeah I know, cut them some slack, blah blah, lol.

Dan great work on those commercials. Did you shoot 1mitchellandness and STUCK with film or video. If film what stock and if video what camera did you use. I'm having a hard time tell the diff with the small picture size and also you you did a great job giving them a film look if it was video. Yes, I'm a film major.

they were all shot on 35mm film but I'm not sure which stock. DJ was shot on 500D. I think the others were 5279 but im not sure.

so i clicked on this link and watched those...wow...you're actually really really really good. Weird. Like, I like those commercials...the nike is SICK.
the Coca Cola one, though, the dj one...what's the deal with the music on that shit? The strings he uses are a Garageband sample...fake dj? What's the skinny on that?

i love the music in dj. the track the star of the spot is making is different then the score for the commercial. the score was done proffessionaly-- not using garage band.

well there are some stock samples that commercials do use for stuff like that. In this commercial, they used a sample that is in Garageband. I know cause I used it in a song. I've heard a bunch of Garageband samples in commercials in different places. Maybe those that are part of Garageband are also stock in other programs as well, or just popular, eh?
that nike commercial kicks my ass, though. If I ever need me a commercial director, in my travels as an evil marketing executive/pr whore, imma suggest your ass in a heartbeat.
