Hmmm,
What a world we live in. How is it possible for speech to be free when we have BULLSHIT sedition laws in Australia. Sadly these laws are starting to infect the source code we are allowed to write and distribute.

Hell, free speech doesnt even truely exist in the states either. Dont feel like your left out, anyone here will tell you, it actually does not exist, theres a ton of crap you can get screwed over on, just for saying, not even acting upon.

There has to be SOME limitations though (like screaming fire in a movie theater).

Exactly. You can say what you want - no matter how racist or ignorant - up until the point where you cause harm to someone else. Screaming "FIRE" in a theater would cause people to get trampled and injured for example.

If there is a fire.

In a sparsely populated theater you can should just walk out quietly and let "survival of the fittest" kick in...

But seriously. What pisses me off here in the states is the "free speech zones" at political events. Defeats the purpose of peaceful protest, and contradicts everything that the first amendment was created for.
