FREAK.
I've always wondered, why do PC games come in giant boxes?
If Gun was a small game on ps2, what's it like on 360 ? The graphics were pretty good for ps2, beautiful sometimes, is it lush on 360?
I have a ps2 and about 10 games.

Sorry 'bout that. I got a little carried away. I love my next gen consoles and I play them 95% of the time but I still have love for those old systems.
Hopefully the games were visible in the photos.

Anyone wanna play me on Fightnight 3 on ps2 right now?
If you wanna play me Avenwhell, I'd tell you to lose the router, it doesn't work on FN for ps2.

I've never tried to get the ps2 online but thanks for the info. Any info on why that is?
I -THINK- it's because FN connects the 2 users to each other through a relaying server. It has something to do with not being able to get info downloaded and uploaded at the same time on the router through the EA servers relay. Not all ISP's have both ports needed open for you unless you ask them to. I have a fast DSL connection and when I connect to a crappy cable router user my connection speed has to slow down to match theirs and I can actually see their info upload, which pauses me momentarily, and then lets all their info out at once - which in the game, looks like suddenly fast punching, followed by a pause before my response (not me physically, the game).
I kept losing to this kid who was much worse than me and I told him I kept saw him slowing me down right before his punches would flurry out at me in a faster than usual way. Asked him if he had a router and he said yes and I got pissed at him (I don't mind losing a GOOD fight, but not to some shlub), he actually reconnected everything and we played again 10 mins later and I bet him in under 3 mins. And he loved it because he was lagfree.
The other thing is, similar but worse. 2 guys about to fight, talking in the lobby picking boxers, hit ready ..... in a normal circumstance you would see "Connecting, joining, ready, UserXis ready" instantaneously. Sometimes, it will just say 'connecting....' and sit there forever. The first time this happened, my friend and I reset ea server connection, then ps2, then modems ISP connection and it never worked. Same story as before, "do you have router?", "yes", "get rid of it", he does and we play. I experienced this myself when I housesat for a friend and took my ps2 and connected to their homes internet. In Socom I could play, but my mic was dead, in FN, I could join and type, but not get into a game.
The percentage of me seeing this crap and asking them if they have a router and them saying 'yes', is almost 100%. The only times I'm wrong is when there's real latency/lag on the connection and in that case we are both in the wrong and both suffering. A quick reset fixes that. My friends and I reset after every 4-5 fights. I play the same guy 15 times in a night. We agree that each and every fight has slightly more lag than the last.
FightNight servers suck harder than a toothless hooker. Worst game I've ever seen online. And it's only 2 frickin' ppl 1on1 !!!
Anyway - time for me to crack a beer and get in the living room and box :D Sorry for the rambling.

You don't get it. Current gen = next gen. The 360 is the next generation from the xbox, etc.... it is perfectly, definitively, literally, chronologically correct. You think your parents generation refers to you as current generation? No, you are next generation. It's pretty simple ppl, but I'm glad you all gathered in a tamtamg's thread to be collectively wrong.

If were just talking this gen it's:
360 - 4 Controllers, Wireless Headset, HDDVD Add-on
PS3 - 2 Controllers, Bluetooth Headset
Wii - 2 Wiimotes, 2 Nunchucks
DS
PSP
42" HD Plasma
Yamaha 5.1 Surround Sound
I'm not going to list the games because this post will get ridiculous. It's safe to say I have most 360 games, most wii games, most ps3 exclusives, loads of DS and PSP games. I also have a pretty cool collection of Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs including all my beloved Scorsese, Edgar Wright ,Spiderman films and more. If I listed them in the order of usage it would go, 360, PS3, DS, Wii, PSP. It's cool what consoles people have.

It's not debatable. The sun is hot, the current gen is next gen. Opinions aren't an option on the matter, fact and definition presides.

ummm... use it to play all the HD DVD's I have..??
Not sure what you were fishing for there. My HD DVD's won't automatically go up in smoke just because Blu-Ray wins the war. In fact, between Goodfellas, The Departed, Casino, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The Thing (to name but a few) my HD DVD player will probably be getting quite a workout for some time.

I was just wondering if like Blu Ray officially wins if HD DVD player owners get rid of it or keep it since no more titles will be released for it.
Just curious since some people might ditch it or keep it.

I will be keeping mine since I just want my movies in HD doesn't matter if its Blu or HD-DVD. Probably go on a buying spree if they start to phase out HD-DVD.

Some of you Wii owners NEED to pick up Metroid Prime 3
Easily one of the best games Wii has and the best Metroid ever esp since it focuses more on action has a story and good voice acting and no backtracking to get suit upgrades...she never loses abilities this time just becomes more of a bad ass.
Also might want to Try a Budget Title in Endless Ocean, really is one of the sleeper hits although it's a relaxing game a non game deal so if going to try it don't go in with a traditional game mindset.
And of course Zak and Wiki. (before some points out I don't own it I tired to get it but no one had it at the time and now after buying 3 games this month I am tapped out but still plan on it)
