yea the audio on most rev3 shows are a little echo-ish but this by far took the cake. Get that on the right track and its got potential!!

The set reminds me of something back from the old days of MTV. Kind of like something you'd see on Remote Control.

And yes, Rev3's studios desperately need acoustical foam.

The echo makes me miss the days of Infected, in the SargeShack. Is there anyway you can do any post processing on the mic channels to reduce the reverb? Or is it a simple act of sound deadening the studio? If so, how much longer do we have to put up with the bad echo? I would prefer to see this show on hiatus than to endure this next episode.

The echo doesn't make it unwatchable but I'll wait until they fix it before I watch any of the shows that are shot in the new studio. Hell, I'd even donate the sound dampening material if it'll move things along.

Odd. I watched the intire episode, I didn't notice any problems with the echo. But then again I was watching from my labtop instead of my tv like usual. No big deal for me.

AFAIK echo is one of the most difficult (ergo expensive and/or time consuming) audio "fixes". my experience has been that it's more or less impossible to remove after the fact.

please shoot this show somewhere else if you can't get the echo under control.

Even more annoying though was the slight time delay when talking to guests which led to a lot of talking over one another.

They need to update the links for the subscriptions so they actually open the software they are supposed to (zune, itunes, etc.) so this can be subscribed to.

The echo is easy to fix. Until you get some overpriced "acoustical foam", please follow these instructions for an interim solution:


find Gator's truck/living quarters (look behind the closest liquor store)
remove duct tape and plastic sheet from passenger window to gain entry
reach under large pile of socks and empty PBR cans to find several moldy blankets
DO NOT attempt to touch blankets with bare hands - don appropriate protective gear
remove blankets from vehicle and transport to the laundromat (using an approved HAZMAT containment vessel)
thoroughly launder blankets using an industrial strength detergent
hang blankets vertically around the perimeter of the set (out of camera view) and horizontally to cover the ceiling

funny, i was just watching this show called "echos of the past", then the narrator started talking saying something about echoing, ...i think I'm going crazy.

I found it funny that it happens so much on Tom Green's House Tonight. A lot of nights he'll have a viewer talking on webcam, get annoyed of the overlap, and either just totally talk over them or hang up. Now the shoe was on the other foot.
