Before anyone sends me PMs about Marty Digg spamming. Digg stories promoting Revision3 podcasts have ALWAYS been specifically exempted.

So go DIGG it already!

Dugg. This deserves to be on the front page, although it was submitted 4 hours ago.

I was a bit iffy on the show, it seemed a lot like Infected (which was amazing), but I was hoping for something a bit different.

Now, they have new guests and if they keep up that kind of 2girls1cup bit, I'll definitely continue to watch. Hell, I'll watch anyway. It's Martin Sargent.

Martin could post digg links to youtube videos of Jay Adelson feasting on human baby naked, and I still wouldn't close the thread.

Martin is infallible.

So go DIGG it already!Ha, ironic that you guys use the same reason (http://www.revision3.com/forum/showpost.php?p=246320&postcount=11) (REV3 not being Digg) to consider digg spam.

Why do you guys even have rules? You just "bend" them to fit your needs all the time anyway.

Gotta love it.

I know this is a confusing point, I'm sorry for that.

I don't believe that we've "bent" any rules. Token's post that you linked to was a lament against spam. His meaning was plain and does not generalize. The mods do not give Digg.com special treatment, that is all.

I don't consider links to Digg as spam by default and I've never considered links to websites that promote Revision3 content as spam.

However, threads started to promote third-party personal web content like Podcasts, Myspace pages, blogs or random Digg stories are considered spam.

Links to Digg are not and have never been restricted on the basis of just being Digg.

Third-parties starting threads in the forum for personal promotion is restricted. However, Promoting Revision3 content is one of the main missions of this forum. Therefore, first-party threads doing are not considered spam.

Again, any restriction of Digg stories is not and never was about Digg. It's has always been about spam control.

Things are judged on a case-by-case basis.
