Anybody playing this game? I just picked it up today, haven't really followed the franchise but I played Revenge and I loved it. That said I'm not sure how I feel about this game, it is fun, that's true, I'm enjoying playing it. However I don't think I like it better than I did Revenge. I miss the ability to just do mindless racing, in this game it's basically reading a map WHILE racing lol... I keep glancing at the little mini-map and crashing into things. It does make things really hectic and chaotic, but it's sort of fun in a way. Online it's fun to see other people miss important turns or while you nailed it.
Anybody up for some online gaming? Jeff, Alex, Dan? Random radlings?
I got it on PS3 btw, does look awesome and runs buttery smooth. My PSN handle is DaSal.

Unfortunately I have it for the 360, so we can't play.
But i'm enjoying it so far. It took me about 30-40 minutes to fully get into it. I like just being able to drive around aimlessly for a while and then focusing in on a mission.
I'm disappointed that its only one player off line, there is no restart mission button, and the inability to read the little map on the bottom right. But so far none of that has affected my fun. I'm hoping when invest a few more hours into the game, I'll get the map down solid enough that I won't need help finding stuff.
Its definitely not Burnout Revenge, and I couldn't say its better or worse. Just different and still fun

I haven't even touched multi-player yet. When I first got it, I basically just drove around for the first few hours, trying to find all of the drive-thrus and the like.
After awhile, I get the urge to throw in one of the older games to see how similar and different the 'tracks' are from the same roads in this one. There's just something nice about driving a length of road and thinking 'hey, this looks familiar'.

What kind of screen are you playing it on?
The mini-map looks fine and is very useful for me, but I'm playing on a PS3 and on an HD monitor and all of the people I've heard complain about the mini-map are on 360 and playing on SD TV's.
I'm kind of wondering if any of those factors have anything to do with it.

I had a blast playing the demo with my friend, but the fun died down after about an hour. I'm sure the full version has a lot more to offer, but I still think this is one of those games that would be a ton of fun for a few hours, but then quickly grows stale. This will make for a fantastic game to rent for a weekend though. Nothing vents stress quite like taking a car and smashing it up as badly as you can without any thought given to consequence.

I got Burnout Paradise a few days ago. I am having a blast playing both single and multi-player. Going against random people is fun, and so is roaming around in single player. I think it is one of the best Burnouts I have played. There are a few things that I would like to see brought back from past versions, but I like the open world environment. Also like Alex said, a GPS would be a wonderful addition.

I think I've put about 40 hours in over the past week, and that's without touching multiplayer.
Obviously it's one of my favourite series.

The beauteous and brilliant Katharine Fletcher at Playdigital gave this quite a rave review.
Far be if from me to argue with a cute geek chick...

I have been playing this game quite a bit and must say it is very addicting. Also, the co-op challenges are perfect for getting a group of friends together and having some fun accomplishing both the simple and more complex tasks within the game. The incorporation of the Live Vision camera makes the co-op play that much better, and also hilarious. Nothing better than sharing your response to being taken down by a friend visually and gloating when winning a hard fought race. Oh, and the game has an awesome soundtrack as well.
