Okay, you men without kids probably don't care. Some of you women probably don't care either... :D
However, this game looks (to me) to be the "Sims" game for the 360, and I've been looking forward to it for months.
Here's a TV spot:

Here's a blurb detailing what the game is all about:

Basically, you build a garden to attract different species of pinatas, train them, trade them, breed them, etc. There's also a saturday morning cartoon that is actually cute that's been running for a few months now. The first two episodes are available in the Xbox Marketplace as "Sneak Peek" episodes.
I've had it on pre-order for a while, and I got an email saying it was releasing a week earlier than indicated. I'm jazzed!

What was the last good game from Rare though? I thought Banjo and Kazooie were over rated. I liked Conker heaps, but the toilet humour helped it a lot for me.
Considering the wait for the latest Perfect Dark...
So far I got the impression it's a pretty version of Mexican Pokemon, or have I totally missread the press?

Does that mean it's out now? Because it was supposed to launch on the 9th. My daughters have been after me about this game for a month--and the Saturday morning show isn't helping.
Looks like fun though--and I think the graphics are amazing. I love it when a developer tries to make something that looks completely different than everything else on the shelf.

Do you carry them his balls and throw them at people when you want to fight them?

My Amazon pre-order had it coming out on the 14th, and I got an email today saying they were releasing it on the 7th, if that helps.

So... got the game.
Was surprised there doesn't seem to be any gender to the pinatas, beyond what you name them.
My first two Whirlms were named Danny and Jonathan. They had many happy baby Whirlms together before they were eaten by Sparrowmints.

The main reason this game attracts me is the strange and disturbing moral dilemmas it puts you in. Do you make money by selling off baby pinatas like some twisted black market baby-selling ring? Do you sacrifice the lives of the pinatas to get other pinatas? And then there's the whole bludgeon your cute pinata friends to death with your shovel and watch as their own pinata friends devour their still warm candy innards. I thought this game was for kids? :p hehe, but besides that, the graphics and everything else about it look sweet. (no pun intended)

You forgot to mention all the mother-, father-, sister-, and brother-****ing going on in the game. I'm surprised one of them hasn't produced two-headed offspring.

Diela--any good ways to get quick cash with little investment? Seems like, thus far, the best way is just to keep breeding and selling worms. That's kind of tedious, so I'd love to find a better way to upgrade quicker.

Spam Seedos for free seeds... you can ask him more than once during the day. When it's night and he's not there, you can sell the seeds or plant them and sell either the plants, or their resultant flowers and fruit. If you catch the plants right after the flowers and seeds drop, you can even sell the stems. Keep an eye out for red and black seeds though... those are usually detrimental to the garden.
As your levels progress higher, you really won't need to worry about money... you'll have to sell off most of the houses to keep enough garden room for just two of each pinata. That's how I got my 25k coin achievement... selling the roofs over their heads to make room for more pinatas. :p

Or crap... I could SEND you some damn coins if I could remember which is your gamer tag or find the gamer tag thread again.
ETA: Nevermind... the search function found it this time.
It's hell getting old... the mind is the first to go.

So I finally picked it up today, after seeing Diela playing it every single time I turned on my 360, and it is unbelievable. I can't believe how much fun I am having with it, this game is definitely not only for kids. Now I am going to go play and try to get my bunny combs to reproduce and make me some money...

My garden is at level 45... you have some catching up to do mister! Let me know when you're ready to start trading pinatas....
Also, a dromie sent me four bunnycombs earlier this week, and for the life of me I can't remember who... I'd just started a new garden and didn't have anything to send yet, and now that I do I can't remember who I "owe". :o
And Slomo... sorry hon. :(
