I love the idea for The Digg Reel, and I think with a few tweaks the show can be huge.

First of all, it's great that you mention the source website from the digg story, but often that doesn't actually go back to the original source. A friend of mine had a video reposted on college humor. When you ran the video, you said the source was college humor, and didn't mention to look into where it came from before collegehumor.com. The same goes for just calling out "youtube" as the source, especially when the user that uploaded the video that was dugg wasn't the actual creator. Do some research. Find out where the content is coming from.

Pointing out the funny digg comments is a great idea. If possible, use the comments as the source for the "funny" and let Jessica's lines just be more straight. She doesn't need to be so zippy. It sounds like a forty-five year old trying to write for the "internet youth generation" and doesn't work imho.

That's what a source is... where it came from. If I saw a funny video on break.com then break.com would be my source.

What you're asking for is "created by" credit which might be a bit complicated, especially when thousands and thousands of videos are uploaded to the internet daily that their origin is often unknown after they've made their way around the interwebz.

I think it would take way to much time for them to track down everyone who made the videos for the show, it would be kinda cool but just pretty hard as some times its just damn near impossible to find were it came from ya know?

Itd be difficult to find out who created the content, but not too hard to mention "uploaded by _______" which you can easily do with youtube just by checking the username.
