The main radness is that it's directed by AVATAR's Dave Filoni. So hopefully the action will be epic.
Though it will be very odd not seeing the typical Fox fanfare before a STAR WARS film.

I hope that pic they use in the article is not what the character designs look like.
Reminds me of the creepy and butt freakin ugly Thunderbirds..man I hated that show just for the puppets alone.

"Theatrical" used in that sense is one of a wide number of possible usages most of which refer to a live performance.

This is definitely a surprise as I was prepared for The Clone Wars animated TV series to hit this year, but not a movie to kick things off. A great surprise to say the least. And be sure to checkout the Clone Wars introduction video - http://www.starwars.com/video/view/623.html

They should have run the cartoon in theaters. When it is put all together for the two DVDs its pretty damned spectacular, feeling like a better movie than the three prequels IMO.
I hope the new animation is the only thing thats changed between the microseries and this new series.
