what is the card that kevin rose uses in the mythtv episode? i know it is avermedia but what is it exactly called?

don't use the card he talked about in that episode...a friend of mine has it and has nothing but problems with it...get an ATI All-In-Wonder or just TV Tuner card...i have 3 of them in my MythTV box and it's awesome

Does anyone know of any pc tuner cards that can accept digital cable signals, at our house we have digital cable but only one cable box for it, and I'm thinking to either get another cable box, or tuner card, to some pvr work on my desktop pc (It's connected to my TV as well).

AverMedia and Hauppage set the standard for capture cards. DO NOT get an All-in-Wonder card as they are not capable of capturing a digital signal.

perhaps they've gotten better in recently but my experience is that the ATI software side is VERY finicky. If you install one component out of order you have to start all over again. Hopefully they've changed.
