After watching the episode yesterday, I went today to check the movie out.

A very gripping and daring movie. A very powerful message, with superb cinematography. I can't add to anything the guys haven't talked about in the last show.

Walking out of that theater, I was a little awestruck and slightly uncomfortable by the turbulence of the plot, but now looking back at it. It's everything you want it to be and more.

Watch this movie.

I so agree. I walked into this movie thinking it would just be your average foreign movie about a dude who had a stroke and stuff. It was one of the most emotional movies I've seen in a long time.

I felt like it started out a little slow but then all of a sudden you really feel like you are this guy and the pace picks up. The flashbacks did a great job of showing us who this guy really was in contrast to what he was after the stroke. I found the scenes with his kids and his father to be especially emotional. I could have even used a tissue a couple times.

I saw it a while ago in a tiny theater, and absolutely loved it. It was my favorite movie of the year, ahead of Juno and No Country for Old Men. Everything the TRS guys said was absolutely spot-on. A perfect review of a near-perfect film.

(Here's a strange bit of trivia that I am surprised Dan didn't mention: Originally, when it was going to be an English-language film, the actor attached to play the lead role was Johnny Depp.)

great movie. I laughed a lot, and felt some other stuff too. Not trying to be an insensitive ass, but it was a supremely funny movie IMO, intentionally so.

On top of that it was very moving as well.

I've seen movies that make me feel things, I've gotten teary eyed a couple times, but I have never cried in a movie.

Today is valentines day, I feel like shit. Watching this movie, everything had been going through did not matter. I was so involved, with what was happening to the person on screen. I felt things I did not expect. And I did cry. I cried. This movie, pictures on a screen and sounds coming from speakers made me cry. I know it won't, but this movie should win best picture.

That is a very important point that is not brought up enough. It is VERY funny, which helps it further transcend the immense pool of well-made, foreign tear-jerkers.
