ok so basically in the last 2 days i bought a nintendo ds lite, and i bought puzzle quest and any of the final fantasy games i could find in one visit to the mall. and so i then leave the store start playing puzzle quest and i was already addicted. i have already had my ds taken away in 3 of my classes, and by the principle of my school because i bumped into him while playing in the hallway between periods. im not gonna lie i lose so much in bejeweled puzzle battling its depressing. why do i suck? what do i need to do differently to not suck.

You're gonna suck at battles for awhile. *lol* Try and get some money together ingame and invest in armor that boosts your stats/causes effects.

and...
don't play in class :P

Meh, teachers take away anything fun, but a DS is just pushing it.

My 12th grade math teacher took away my Fellowship of the Ring book, which was horrible, because I had scant months to read it before the movie came out.

I bought puzzlequest yesterday. Its fun, but I have to say overall I'm disappointed. Maybe puzzle games like this aren't my thing. I'll stick with it a bit more though and build up more armor and stuff. I'm just sick of fighting the same things over and over again. Plus, I dont think I have the 'skill' necessary to succeed at this type of game. Oh well, it was definitely a good buy at 19.99 so I shouldn't complain too much.

Uh, i'm a teacher and I take away a lot of stuff. Trying learning in the class and playing outside of the class. I know it sounds crazy...

I was slow into ye Olde Puzzle Quest at first. It took me months to buy it, but without it, my DS would not be touched nearly as much.

I had the 'benefit' of not knowing anything about armor, battle, cunning, etc. I say benefit b/c I just got better and better at matching mana, 4 of a kind, etc.
It was weeks before I discovered finally, that I could add spells and build my citadel. This lead to me beating some higher skilled foes w/simple spells and only matching skulls. I beat the official story and now just play it to kill any expanse of time I can sneak in a battle.

NOw it's occasionally fun to go visit an old rat enemy or zombie and slap the shit out of him in two moves.

I could go on. I got my Puzzle Quest for $14.99 at Target after Xmas. Best investment ever.

People these days are already too stupid as it is, but to kill all education for a video game is beyond stupid... When grown adults don't know the difference between "to" and "too" or the difference between "than" and "then" because they were too busy playing GameBoy or whatever, it's a sad world.

strategise as much as possible. go for four of a kinds first and then whatever you can after. I personally always go for skulls and then whatever mana. and use your spells to your advantage especially when you can use them to get mana for other spells.

I spent a looong time with this game

Now you're required to post said lyrics! =)

and... is farming for gold to boost stats in the citadel cheating or just prudent game playing?

I just had an overwhelming urge to write a 'back in my day...' post. god i'm old.

but, seriously, playing a ds in class is fucking disrespectful. be nice to the people that are trying to help you.

i almost was late coming back from lunch at work, i was in the back playing PQ. only reason i wasnt late was a co worker came in and was like dude isnt ur lunch up?

so i say stick with playing in non workish/schoolish zones that can get you in trouble.

money is also a good way to help in game, gawd now i wanna play but my ds isnt charged

they're mostly improvised, as you might imagine.

but the main theme lyrics are:
"PUZZLE PUZZLE QUEEEEST!
QUESTS OF PUZZLES AND QUEEESTS!
PUZZLE PUZZLE QUEST!
QUESTING FOR PUZZLES....AND QUEEESTS!"

you get the idea

I'm thinking about buying a DS and I was wondering what are some really good RPGS out for it or on the GBA that I could get for it. I really like deep rpgs with lots of things to collect and do. I'm going to get PQ and possibly a Pokemon game. Yes I do like those types of games... Anything I should look at? Also does anyone know if I can get Gamestop to find a game for me. Like Star Ocean for PS1. I really loved that game and want to play it again real soon.
