Running Time: 00:20:08
What do a blue half-ogre policeman, a revolutionary artist from the 1960s, and a down and out private investigating ex-circus performer have in common? Comic books, son. Comic books.

Just ordered Batman: Nine Lives (found a used hardcover for like 5 bucks!)
Gonna dig out that Top Ten trade (which I bought at 100th episode taping) so I can try out SMAX.
I may even try the X-Men trade!
Great show, guys. The vault shows are my favorite.

My question... Why was it called Larry King? I missed that...
Otherwise, great show, guys! Loved it!

I'm gonna guess because Larry is ancient. Would have been a great title for the future Walking Dead episode.

Nice show guys. I've always been a fan of the side view style, gonna have to track this one down.
My question... Why was it called Larry King?!
Watch the end credits.

The batman book looks amazing - i'll be looking into that.
I'm also really intrigued by Batman Nine Lives.

What a coincidence with SMAX, earlier today I was listening to the podcast where Josh gave Conor Top 10 as a birthday gift.
Batman: Nine Lives looks very interesting, I'll need to start looking for a copy. There's just so many good self contained Batman stories out there compared to other characters.
Good show all around.

Agreed on Batman: Nine Lives.
I was going through watching. Josh's book comes... "Oh that sounds fun, I should pick up that sometime." Then Ron's... "Wow that does look really good, I should try to find that eventually." Then Conor's... "Alright going to amazon now..." He had me at Dick Grayson.

Smax was a great read. I've never been a big wizard, D&D type guy, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I'm now annoyed about Nine Lives. I had it in my cart on Amazon and when I decided to cut a few things, it was one of them. Guess I'll be picking it up now.
As far as the Visionaries books go, how is the quality of them? I seem to remember seeing a bunch of them falling apart on my LCS shelf. That's mainly why I never gave them much thought.

I've just finished TopTen and loved it so I think I pick up Smax as well. Also that Batman book looks fantastic, I love Lark's stuff on Daredevil and Cap and this sounds like the right sort of book for him.

How many of these shows have you guys recorded? Didn't Josh leave New York? So how is he still appearing on the Video show as if he was still there? Is he being green-screened in, or were these episodes all recorded months ago?

It's a standard in 50% off bins at cons throughout the country. That's where I picked up mine a couple years back, and it was a great find. In fact, you can usually find the Hardcover version of it too if you scan around enough...

Regarding Top 10/Smax - What other spinoffs are you guys talking about?
I hope you're not talking about the Forty Niners, which is also by Moore and Ha. It may be my favorite of the series.
The only non-Moore Top 10 book that I'm aware of was the Beyond the farthest Precinct mini (and was terrible), which came out after all of the other stuff.

I may be wrong, but they may have been referring to "Beyond the Farthest Precint".

Probably, I just thought it was weird because when they were talking about the spinoffs (plural) that they ignored, and since of the three spinoffs, two of them were by Moore, I'm just checking to make sure that they haven't overlooked The Forty Niners. It wasn't mentioned on the show. It's really a fantastic (and Eisner award winning) book.

No, I have the Forty Niner's, and it's wonderful.
I was probably referring to the Farthest Precinct, but there are also other ABC books which have had spinoffs not written by Moore which I lumped together. At least I think there are.
I do know that Gene Ha and Zander Cannon are working on bring out more Top 10, sans Moore, which I'm not sure how I feel about.
