This thread is to share your favorite (or at least intriguing) written sound effects that make comic books.

I love the "Hnh" that Grant Morrison has Batman use. Says so much with so little.

In the 80's there was a serbian Superheroine called Cat Claw. It was later published in quite a few countries like America and Sweden. The creator used a lot of moronic onomathopeic sound effects like:
DUMUOKO (HITINTHEYE)
RASPIZD (STROKEINTHEBALLS)
TJORAAAK (MIIISSED)

And even for me, who knows zero serbian words, it's pretty fun to see the badguy fall out of a car smashing his face into a trashcan accompanied by effect "KTPREK!".
That paired with the silly gags and the unofficial Marvel cameos makes Cat Claw a really fun read.
Oh and then there's the gratuitous nudity.

I think the iFanboys mentioned it, but I liked the crazy sound effects in WWH during the Sentry battle, esp where they just started using abbreviations of people involved in the project (JRJRJRJRJRJ!)

I don't remember where I heard this from, coulda been iFanboy or Word Balloon or something, but my favorite is a bathroom exploding with the efx being "BATHROOOOOOOOOM!"

Also a favorite of mine. One of the few things I enjoyed from WWH.:D

That has Peter David written all over it. A couple months ago in She-Hulk, a barroom blew up with a hearty "BARROOOM!!"

I still look back fondly on his Hulk run, when occasionally things would smash together with a thundering "RAKOVLAMM!"
