I like how in the episode Jim "sends it back" to Sarah and then in the clip with Sarah, you see Jim walking toward the camera in the background.
I am definitely looking forward to the next episode.

Wow. Talk about lame excuses. My video stutters all the time. My computer is new. It's a mac. I have fast internet... but it always stutters. It's really annoying and it's not me. Why not buffer a few seconds? I'm not waiting an hour to download a show either. Sounds like excuses. I love the shows. I watch all the time but the video stutters on all my computers across all browsers and I don't have any viruses, a slow connection, or a frankencomputer. Video always stutters. If I can't surf in a separate browser then what's the point of watching online? I run explorer/safari and surf with firefox... and it always stutters.
Well, they obviously did something, because I had the same stuttering problem from day 1 and now its fine (not perfect, but fine). So the "fix your computer" line was a bit much, but they did fix something on their side (bitgravity).

Great episode!
I think this shows that Revision3 is just getting better and now Gazette has finally hit it's mark last few eps.
And Glenn was hilarious.
Keep up the great work! :D

I am definitely optimistic about the new approach to the R3G; I look forward to seeing how it works out.
Oh, and the "fuck man, I hate doing this shit" Glenn spot was hilarious. :D

Love the episode, one of the better Gazette's I think, I love the 'this is actually how we do it' stuff with all the tech details. Can't wait for the behind the scene's episodes too.
I noticed that with Louderback walking in behind Sarah, I also saw Patrick playing with a record, I assume from his last Tekzilla episode.

Anyone else think Glenn kind of looks like Christian Slater?

One thing that's an issue, albeit a minor one, in regards to streaming video is the fact that when I stream GoogleVideo or YouTube or any of the other streaming flash videos, they basically have little to no buffer time for them to start. With the Rev3 videos, even the short ones, I find myself having to pause the flash video, and come back in a few minutes.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Oh, and if anyone thinks my computer isn't up to snuff, I have a 3.4 GHz P4, and 2 gigs of RAM. I'm also running 768k DSL (I know, not the fastest, but the other video content providers load faster and some of them at the same or better quality of video as Rev3).

I would argue that Rev3/Bitgravity uses a slightly higher res/bitrate than YouTube or Google Video. On a side note, I may be missing something but I can't seem to find the HD flash stream anymore. But I did notice that the regular stream seemed of higher quality than from before the redesign.

I have to say I am surprised at the complaints. I have been watching Rev3 content on my laptop, using FireFox, for more then a couple of weeks now. 1.6GHz 2GB of RAM and using our sucky wireless at work. I have not had a single problem. Picture is great and sounds good to. I dual boot this machine and it works great with Linux and Windows Vista. Maybe Im just lucky.

Sounds like R3G is moving in the right direction. I do like the behind the scenes at Rev3 and hope that we get regular updates. This show has a way of making you feel like a part of Rev3 and I wouldn't want it to loose that element. Just make sure you keep our 'Cracker Jack Reporter'!

I don't typically stream content from Rev3, just download the files I want and watch via my 360 on the big screen. Works great! The downloads are typically pretty fast as well over my cable broadband connection. Oh and Glenn keep up the great work man I give you a lot of credit for stepping in front of the camera. Plus it was funny, in a good way, and still informative.

Good episode, but Glen was very entertaining
"I suck behind camera... no I like being behind camera, I suck in front of it..." "...forget everything I just said... ... I have no idea what I've said, or if it made any sense...sorry."

I can see Glen getting his own show in the future
Excellent episode. Please bring us more like it!
I have no problems streaming episodes in Firefox, under XPx64. No stutter what so ever :)
LOL @ Glenn's presenting. He's a legend :D

oh the irony... Apparently my download screwed up, and right when they started talking about people having problems downloading or streaming content, my video stopped. Apparently, I had only got 89 MB of the HD version.

My favorite episode yet! I love learning about the technology behind big websites/products such as Revision3.
I usually only stream when @ school/work because the connection is capped and dloading the High-Def takes an hour. And it does studder every once and awhile. But overall, good performance. But at home it's high-def all the way. ~900kb/s :) (Comcast 20Down/1.5Up)

have a mac but i cant find out if it stutters because i cant even get the site to load the rev 3 page with safari or rather have no time or patience to wait a minute or so for it to do so. not that i'm complaining because i discovered that everything works dandy with "camino" ,i haven't the slightest idea why but the page loads up 90% of the time and any problems with video streaming was solved by that tiny thing written at the bottom of the video that says, "low rez", instead of, "high rez" then no buffering is needed. i watch everything this way now.
although i'd like to watch everything in "safari", i just hope it can be adjusted to do so in the near future.

Um, yeah.. if it takes you an hour to download a Rev3 show, you DON'T have fast internet. I have Time Warner and I can download most Rev3 shows in about 20 minutes, tops. I've never had problems with the Flash player either.
Don't blame a company for making excuses when it's your end causing the problems.
