I've been watching Revision3 shows for many months now through iTunes. As of this week iTunes has stopped downloading new episodes of any and all Revision3 shows. Any non-rev3 podcast downloads fine but the rev3's receive a: stopped - (err = -3259). I've tried to download QT versions from the website with no luck either, firefox shows a download that completes in about 5-10 seconds but there is no file found when tried to open. Any help is greatly appreciated.

From what I can tell, that error message is the result of a timeout. You may need to tweak (http://www.broadbandreports.com/tweaks) your network settings.

It's not just soonerrdnk. I've been having the exact same problem, for about a week now.
Not rev3 shows are downloading in iTunes nor in Firefox.
For a while I suspected that Time Warner was getting sick of my bandwidth usage and did something to me, but things download fine on my girlfriend Powerbook via wifi. So it's just the PC. Unfortunately, the PC is the one with the storage capacity and the PC is the one that's set up to stream to my Xbox Media Center for watching the shows.
Color me stumped.

It must be something between you and Rev3. I haven't had the first problem downloading anything from here. I don't have itunes installed so I won't comment on whether or not that works (mainly because I consider it bloatware, and won't touch it with a ten foot pole.).

Yeah, it's weird. Not even the Flash player will load, it just stays black. Yet on a different computer, same network, same internet connection, everything is fine. Whatever it is, it's this machine.
Rev3, you're not blocking me, are you? hehe
I am having the same problem.
Help please!
I need my TRS!

I'm having the same problem on a mac running os x 10.4.
I've tried firefox, safari, and itunes. As well as IE under parallels/XP.
I tunes downloads at a very slow rate where it would take 16 hours to get the file...

Hello All,
It would be great if everyone having issues could provide me the following information. If you'd rather this information remain anonymous, e-mail it to support@bitgravity.com.
It will help us pinpoint any issues that are affecting your downloads.
Thanks so much.
1) Traceroute
Traceroute instructions:
For Windows:
* Start menu --> Run --> type "cmd" and click "ok"
* A command window will appear. At the prompt type "tracert bitcast-a.bitgravity.com" and hit enter.
* It takes a minute or so to complete. When it's done it will say "trace complete".
* Right-click anywhere on the command window and choose "Select All". This will automatically copy the contents of the window to the clipboard.
* Open an email and paste the info into the email.
For Macs:
* Open Applications --> Utilities
* Double-click "Terminal"
* Type "traceroute bitcast-a.bitgravity.com" and hit enter.
* When the trace is complete, copy the complete traceroute and paste it into an email.

Open http://myip.bitgravity.com/ in a browser and paste the output back into this email.
3) Internet connection information (INCLUDING WIRELESS INFORMATION):

has this been the experience of those having problems? (podcast downloads gradually returning to regular schedules)

So far all the above post mention iTunes downloads however I have had issues on Miro version 1.2 with downloads. I can add the channels/feeds but they will not actually download the files. I can click the permalink and load the videos within Firefox so they are obviously there.

I still have problems through both iTunes and directly from the revision3 website which is also very slow.
I almost seems like there is some type of selective throttling going on the revision3 stuff is all very slow, and nothing else seem to be affected.

Luckily my problems were solved with a Miro bug fix. So anyone using Miro 1.2 in Windows needs to update to Miro 1.2.1 to correct issues.
I was always able to play files by going directly to their URL on the bit-gravity download site though.

My problem now seems to be fixed. A thread about website slowness in general said a DNS problem had been fixed, and this corresponds in time to my problem being fixed as well.
