I apologize to Martin Sargent. I just saw the most recent episode of Tekzilla where Patrick is Flaunting his Minor Threat records and I now have a new rev 3 idol. Not only does Patrick know everything I don't, about everything, but he also listens to punk? That's totally awesome in my book. Here's hoping he'll make a Circle Jerks reference in the next episode!

He has made plenty a reference to Flogging Molly and Black Flag, but I don't think I have ever heard him mention Circle Jerks. I have been watching him on verious shows for years.

Pretty cool stuff. Flogging Molly's guitarist and I went to the same high school.

I thought I had more to say, but I guess not.

Patrick has actually had sex in the last year.

Patrick has actually had sex in the last year.

He should do an ep of Tekzilla or Systm showing geeks how they too can have sex at least once a year without having to pay for it.

It would save me a ton of money. Can Sex be Open Source/GNU?

how many punks does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

two. one to screw it in and the other to proclaim "that's so punk"

Three: and a third to call the first one a poser for using a compact florescent and not a "Old School" incandescent light bulb and then scream Oi and kick him in the head.

I knew Patrick had a good taste in music because all of the Black Flag references it was just really ironic with the reissued Minor Threat LP being pulled off the platter because I had "Salad Days" playing in the background when I was working (and watching).
If you like old punk (or as I call it good punk) check out http://www.punkvinyl.com a friend of mine MXV who has the most extensive pre-'90 punk collection all on vinyl I have ever seen or heard. It all started back in the 80's with his zine "Spontaneous Combustion" that turned into a record label (released some JFA and recently release the original Government Issue Demo tape on vinyl) then onto the web..... He also has "Live From Combustion Manor" (http://radio.punkvinyl.com) and podcast/radio show where a group of old punks get together play records and get drunk.

I miss those days (well at least what I remember from those days).

Me (in the bunny slippers) and my band "Cool Guys Named Steve" (note: no one in the band was named steve) back in '89 just before going on stage.
"Punks never die, they just grow up and pass down band shirts to their kids"
BTW: Just wanted to Patrick to know you can get good punk onesies ;)

For the record, Patrick also plays bass guitar and used to be in a punk band in his younger days. If you notice, the white guitar hanging over the three plush monsters on the Tekzilla set is a bass. One can hypothesize if that bass belongs to said Patrick Norton or was just a prop bought cheap at a local flea market / pawn shop. Henry Rollins would be a great guest host. Hell, everybody else is getting a chance to guest host.
