Yet another awesome episode from the man Bert. What do you guys think about this episode?

I think it's pretty cool that he talks about the previous contract jobs he's had for his work.

Also, anyone else notice they used the wrong thumbnail last week? Looks like we now know where the "LUX" thumbnail was from!

This show just keeps getting better and better.. I love the fact that I'm learning different techniques that I wouldn't have necessarily used to gain a cool effect :)

I like it, although I wish it covered more than just one technique. Although I know they want them to be quick and cover as much as they can in as little of time as they can to make it so you aren't forced to watch something that is 4 hours long. But I feel that I would like to learn more oh what's the word... Practical I guess? Seeing as most of us aren't working for a magazine company (yet) and don't have to do diamonds in large letters. I would like to see how he does lightning, coloring techniques, and how to create better images and such. Kind of like what he did with the lamp episode. I think that was one of the best ones. Of course this is just my 2 cents, and that's exactly how much it is worth as well!

I definitely agree with you. Even if the techniques he shows are a bit more subtle, such as simple lighting, I know that's something that I'd be more interested in and could find more useful.

Also I think it would be pretty cool if every so often they did do a long show. I mean, not 4 hours long, but you know, maybe a 20-30 minute in-depth tutorial about something a bit more complex. It also could be nice if he started a project and came back to it a few episodes in a row and improved on it each time.

With that said, the show is great either way, and I'm just happy it's being released regularly.

I'm subscribed to PixelPerfect through iTunes. It automatically downloaded episode 4 named "Type" on October 28. Then today (November 5) iTunes downloaded episode 5 named ("Maki") which turned out to be exactly the same file size as the previous one (63,091KB).

Both files have Bert showing how to make a Diamond using various filters.

How do I get hold of the correct episode 4? And how could I possibly get episode 5 a week early?

You can go to the specific episode directly "http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/typetreatments" and just download from there in whatever flavour you like. Hope if works out for you.
