Radio-Locator (www.radio-locator.com) is a great site, but instead of searching the list for an unused FM frequency, just use their unused frequency search (http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/vacant). It's a whole lot quicker.

This is a great site but in the completely over saturated market in the Chicago area it is almost unusable. I actually had to finally buy a car radio with a aux jack in the front because I would find an open station but drive for 10 minutes and a local college or high school station would take over.
Great for home stereo when you are not on the move.
