Great show, I thing Jeff Cannata is a great personality for the show. How many agree with me.

I COMPLETELY agree. Jeff did an excellent job -- very professional and witty. I wish we could see more episodes feature him.

Yeah man, for some reason it reminded me of the good ole TECH TV days.

Jeff was good. But, he does stand-up improve. He's a talented guy.
I also thought the HD-compression was excellent. It looked better on my 42 inch TV than some of my HD cable channels.

I completely agree Jeff would be a great addition I hope to see more of him on Tekzilla or any of the other Rev3 shows. Jeff is a true internet superstar (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Jeff was fun and good but I still rather have someone like Veronica or Kevin I enjoyed them more esp adding the the fact they are very tech savy.
I am just not for Actors as tech show hosts.
Otherwise good episode.

I think Jeff did a great job, and I also like the setup of this particular show. Its nice to see more of the divided segments within Tekzilla with different people talking about different areas of tech. I mean I think Patrick is great and everything, but adding more personalities to the show is a good way to go in my opinion.

Once again Patrick shows his Punk love not only with the flashing of the Minor Threat LP (again) but also the great "There's a lot of subtilise in Black Flag that really aren't correctly interrupted in a digital medium" - What do you mean? If you listen to the vinyl you can really tell how much beer Hank slugged down before the recording (of course before he quit drinking) and Greg's guitars are so much fuzzier. ;)

I like the idea of Patrick and several "experts" from different areas of tech.He really doesn't need a co-host with all the other people on the show.

Did you guys initially compress this episode into a Flash format? The H.264 video constantly switches in quality from good to almost YouTube.

I saw that on the video as well.
I downloaded the Large Quicktime(the xbox doesnt play the HD version well), and the quality was pretty bad. it was like I was watching the Small Quicktime on my mbp.

Just wanted to say, I loved the show with Jeff. I watch every Tekzilla, and I think it's awesome to see Jeff with someone from the old crew. I loved it! I hope they mix and match it like that from now on. Maybe Dan will be next. I think Martin and Dan would be quite funny! lmao

Wow, did that episode have encoding issues... Especially the initial few minutes... I had to shrink down my VLC window from Dave Randolph sized to David Prager sized in order to make the viewing experience less painful.

Maybe not quite Leo and Patrick, but Jeff and Patrick are still awfully darn good! Can I get an encore? Please? How about regular co-host status? Who needs a female co-host anyway?

Jeff was awesome. Great to see him somewhere else other than planet rad. Also, loved the source code segment with Brendan White.
Good ep.

When you get old enough, somewhere in the mid-30's, I think, it dawns on you...I have no chance. Until then, Sky's the limit.

Wow that was a big surprise seeing Jeff! Very cool and he did a good job. Of course one would expect that with all the TRS shows he's done and his acting skills. Great job Jeff!
On a sidenote, the small quicktime version that I usually watch on my PSP looked like ASS this week.

Great Show. Jeff did a great job IMO.
Was the segment on the free POP email software a possible "interview" for a female applicant? Ann did ok, I suppose. Seemed kind of nervous. Just curious if that was the case since Patrick's introduction was almost like reading a resume. Also, they didn't mention their cohost wanted announcement at the end of the episode this week.

If you check out her page, in her diary section I think, she says she thought it was a screen test and was nervous but realized it wasn't just a screen test too late.hope that makes sense
I'd say she did well overall.

Forgive me but, she was still better than Dan Huard in the arly days.

Are you saying that is why GeekBrief is so popular?
If you have a girl as co-host she needs to know her stuff and have PRESENCE. Patrick has it, Jeff had it, Garnett Lee had it, Veronica had it. Even Kevin had it.
And I'm voicing my opinion again "Jeff Cannata for Tekzilla Co-Host!"

patrick makes me giggle every-time he goes into his impersonations of usually people he doesn't like, i wonder who he's impersonating sometimes, a past friend or enemy?

Ok and stepping out of the 19th century
I agree, we definitely need a host who knows their shiz. If it is a female, she needs to be clued up on the subjects and have a passion for tech. If she just stands there looking pretty going "uh huhhhh" at Paddy, then it'll get old very quickly.
Also some of us have girlfriends of our own and have no need for our tech shows to feature girls for the sake of geeks. Infact my tech shows are my one escapism from women-folk :D I'd be more than happy keeping it a dudes show for the gang, either way.

A note about the lament on HD rentals only being available on the Apple TV. Blame Hollywood not Apple... The HD rentals are saddled with HDCP. Thus the can only be played on HDCP compliant systems. Right now the only HDCP system Apple makes is the AppleTV. Of course you can play HDCP files on noncompliant hardware with reduced resolution but that sort of defeats the purpose of renting a HD movie doesn't it. Damn Hollywood!

Jeff would be a great addition to rev3. I mean as a host on Tekzilla as well as the rad show.

I guess sony learned their lesson from that happened with vhs vs beta. This time they have won so far.
