I like the idea of automating my home (such as inside motion detection, timing the lights and temperature) and have been looking into ways to do it: What do you think about X-10?
By what I understand it uses the electric line to transfer a signal to devices to turn them on and off, including controlling a thermostat. Is this a viable option, or is there something better?
On Cameras: I want to setup a camera to take pictures when something moves around my home: I tried a web cam but of course the image was horribly blurry. What kind of color camera (cheaper is better) would you recommend hooking up to a pc that doesn't get blurry from motion?
