I think that motorola homesight is better than the one featured on the last episode of the show.
Not only is it wireless but it also has video and plenty of other sensors available. Also, there is no monthly fee for you to receive text messages or e-mails with picture attachments just in case any of the sensors are tripped.
At home I have one with door sensors, water sesors, and day/night cameras.
cons: It does require you to always have a pc turned on.
