Describe your ideal game concept here. I would probably pitch a MMORPG in the Pokemon universe.... I would play it.

in college i developed a storyboard for a game called Wanton Wonka. it entailed Charlie trying to rescue Veruca after falling in love her on the tour. he’s helped by Violet (who secretly has a thing for Veruca as well). they battle their way through a series of rooms against mutated Oompa Loompas until ultimately taking down Wonka himself and thus inheriting the factory.

i went so far as to create the orignal music, then abandoned it.

I've been looking for a game where you play as Robinson Crusoe.

Is there a game like that? What would you do if stranded on a deserted island? Would you start putting up shelter? Find food? Build a bonfire to attract rescue teams? That kind of game.

A superhero mmorpg thats not turn based, but instead its real time combat. Like playing as spiderman like you do in spiderman 2 but with other people in a couple of really big cities. That would own. Or maybe just a game like ultimate alliance just not top view. That would be really hard to do, but I want it.

Here is my game I made with a few friends. We didn't have any funding to keep on going with it.

It's called Continuum. The video starts out slow, because it went with a voiceover that was never uploaded.

very cool. It's like a tactical Soldat. I only wish it was more graphically pleasing. The textures and character designs were lame, but the flamethrower was awesome.... And Juan, you are funnier than me

That's what I was going to say...

I also want a game that is of the same scope and quality of Oblivion but set in Tolkien's fantasy world. There is a game in early development, The White Counsel, that is said to be like this but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Why hasn't anyone said an MMORPG that takes place in the Firefly/Serenity universe (or maybe just 'verse). I would play the shit out of that game.

Bring back the point and click adventure, and keep it sprite based. I still play Day of the tentacle once or twice a year. The only thing that has dated on it was the resolution, it's still pretty as all hell, and the funniest cartoon ever. The monkey Island games and Sam & Max is awesome too! Although I haven't played the new one, but asthetically I think the first one is better, but I also think the comics are funnier then the game.

Haven't played Psychonauts, but isn't that the same principle with the mouse clicking replaced by platform bits. I can live with that.

Anyway I would pitch a cartoony adventure game with my comic and cartoon characters and base it in the western suburbs of Sydney. The lebanese, turkish, greek, Italia and yogoslav (Not wanting to list Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Croatia... although I just did ) who were born here have a hilariously charming accent.

I know 3 people that would buy this game :)

Anyone who played Battlefield 1942 will remember the destroyers and battleships and aircraft carriers in the game. I'd like to see a space game with capital ships where individuals would take gunnery places around the ship. Someone would pilot the ship. Then have single seat fighters, bombers etc... make the space you're playing in massive, but not an mmo because everyone is making them and they typically look like ass. Make it more like BF2 than an mmo.

I'd like to make a good Batman game. There hasn't been a good one since the NES titles. It would play like what I imagine Assasins Creed will end up being, only with Batman characters and you'd be stopping a world changing epic event that you'd experience in a free roaming Gotham City. You get the cave, all the gadgets, multiple vehicles, and several side missions that you'd use to gather info on the main the story. There wouldn't be any cut scenes, you'd have to figure out what's going on by following clues. Of course they'd be blatently obvious clues on the novice mode but Detective mode you have to use your noggin to get through. It would also be designed around Jim Lee's drawings, because they give me major wood. The best part is that you'd get to play as Bruce Wayne in the day time and take control of the company. If you want a new toy just commission Fox to engineer it from an unlockables menu. There's a ton of cool shit they can do, but nobody has yet. Hopefully the Batman game in devlopment right now won't suck like the last few.

Good call. I'm not even a big fan of MMORPG's but me and my brother have killer ideas for one set in the Buffy verse.

I think any Joss property would work so well in that format. He's got such well defined and distinct "races" and worlds.

I also think it would be killer to combine a lot of these music games into one. Like have one game where you have a person on drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. The peripheral costs would be quite high but it would still kick ass.

And on the music front, I think I simulation/strategy game where you are the manager for a band could be neat. You could hold auditions and pick your various members based on their skills or on their appearance and then customize their look/sound etc. You could have them tour and practice and maybe even include a rudimentary music creation tool. It could be similar to the Movies game that came out recently.

**** yeah, it kinda seems like these would still be big sellers if they were fairly cheap. I want another full throttle game. I think if something like this was targeted towards xbox live, it's make millions! Sloppy, lets do it. You know how to design games right?

My C++ skills are quite limited or more accurately non existant, but if anybody is up for the challenge, I could be the ego driven one and throw characters, sets, and dumb story Ideas at it. If it was ever a realistic Idea we could make it an episodic format kinda like I think Sam&Max and Bone are now at Teltale games :)

I also think technology has now reached a point where we could see the ultimate almost never ending 2D platformer with a heap of animated cutscenes to unlock and an insane amount of characters and levels to discover.

Anybody played Beyond Good and Evil? Is it really that original or good?

Another question, what's with all the unimaginative people wanting descent versions of licensed games that allready exist.

I want more games like I love katamari or whatever that dungbeatle game was called.

If I was to use that logic I want a Turtles themed Solitair game. I haven't scene it.

Realistically though since games are timewasters, I like the Idea of putting it down and see the sunrays everynow and then, so a game like GTA where you can get lost in the millions of things you can do scare me. Although Lumines I discovered is awesome and simple.

With that in mind the Turtles Solitair pack is still the best I could come up with :(

I always thought it would be neat to do a Mario game based around the basic concept of the original Donkey Kong. (Mario must work up a series of platforms, which become increasingly difficult, to save a princess from an angry ape.) To re-imagine the game you could turn the "platforms" into floors of a skyscraper, each floor being a level, with Mario chasing "Donkey Kong" and the princess up the building. (You could even go all out and make it in a very King Kong spoof kind of way once he got to the top.) Each floor would be custom and original, as you could imagine and when you get to the top Mario would fight Donkey Kong (maybe in a biplane...yeah...) and rescue the princess. The End

Also with the release of the Wii, I thought an interesting idea would be to have a game thats essentially a interactive TV show. You could use the Wii-mote as your remote control and effect various things in the "show". Imagine messing with someone while they where trying to deliver lines, or in a situation where a charater in the show has to be somewhere by a certain time and you "pause" it and make them late. I suppose it would be most like a point and click adventure game but more open ended with "scripted" events here and there. If Nintendo does anything like Microsoft did with Xbox Live in the future, they could even have new "episodes" release from time to time.

It accures to me that I just pitched two nintendo games...:p

A game about an Art thief in our modern world. He has to sneak into various museums and other high profile security situations in order to steal artwork for mysterious clients. Multiple pathways and gadgets would be available, of course. ;)

Potential Title: "Picasso"

How about a Pokemon game where Picachu finds itself alone in a strange city with a gangs of sinister Pokemon. The environment is massive and it can basically go anywhere and do anything. It has to steal poke-cars and kill poke-whores to survive. Eventually, It rises to the top and becomes the meanest poke-mo-fo out there.

I agree with all this point and click stuff you guys are talking about. In fact my brother recently bought King's Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-6, and the Police Quest games. Should I play them? I didn't grow up when these games came out so the gameplay is kinda' retarded to me.

My game would take place in WWII(I know, I know). It will have the basic story but there will two different games on two different discs. The first game will be an FPS like that of Call of Duty, the second game will be a flying game, like blazing angels. But when you get online with either, you will chose sides. the people with the FPS will be the ground combat(Themselves, also Tanks, Turrets, etc.) and the others will be in the air. But either team will fight for a common goal, much like co-op. The online server will be a living world like that of Chromhounds. With this will come news from the warfront, blah, blah. and some of the battles online will be actual battles of WWII, except anyone can win, imagine that Operation Overlord(D-Day) wasn't a success? Iwo Jima? This would be the ultimate online shooter. ground forces and air battles all over the place...Pure chaos.

space quest will always have a special place as my first 'real' pc game, aside from sopwith and the like I mean. 3 and 4 are great. In three you still have to type in your actions, which can be tedious, but the correct thing to type in is usually pretty funny and it's hilarious when you type something thing it will never do anything and then it does. 4 is a pointy clicky. If you can get ahold of the indiana jones: fate of atlantis game, play that shit. Also, grim fandango is pretty cool, and has slightly more modern graphics.

Has anyone played the more recent Siberia? I've been meaning to check that out, but haven't found it anywhere.

Hey thanks. I'll check em' out then. I like Tim Schaffer alot because of Psychonauts and I wanted to play his other games. Did he make Full Throttle?

Another Pitch: An RTS where you play as an Alien Race trying to take over Earth in the 1950's

One night workin at the 'ol bakery, I basically devised the perfect Marvel Universe game ever. So here we go.

First, we have an open-ended environment. Basically, New York is the playground, and you aren't forced to go anywhere. It's open-ended, ala GTA (it's been done in Spider-Man 2, so no biggy). Then, you have the town bustling with other heroes, mostly B-List since you get the A-List ones. But here's the problem. Who do you play as? Each player has to play differently. So here's the idea. Start out with 3 different, but equally fun characters, and then make the others available in "Episodes" like Half-Life is doing it. Yeah, it might cost more, but I'd rather have the best friggin Marvel game ever than one "blah" one.

So you get Spider-Man (of course) for his platforming, and quick fighting. Then you get Captain America, for his harsh fighting and plain old sex appeal. Finally, you get Dr Strange. I know, that one's a bit of a stretch, but it would be nice to have a magic character in there so that each one truly plays differently.

Now, big question, who's the first character to be released episodically? Daredevil. And here's why. He can't see. He uses darkness to his advantage. SO basically, he's a solid fighter, but uses his radar senses and the like to get around. So imagine that as basically Splinter Cell.

So essentially, I want a Marvel game that encapsulates the best of EVERY game. And JLo, I hope you ****ing sell this title, CUZ I WANT TO PLAY THIS FREAKIN GAME!

There was one game that I never played because it was an import from, of course, Japan. It was for the PS2, in the game you played an up and coming Tokusatsu (characters like Power Rangers and Skull Man) star. You design the character and fight enemies for ratings on your T.V. show, the better and more spectacular the fight the more ratings. I'm not sure what else the game had in it but it looked cool.
