Finally, after years of having to login every single time I visited Rev3, the site actually remembers me now! woot!

It worked for me like 90% of the time before. If not more. Oh well.

U GOT USEFUL COMMENT?

I've always used Firefox, I've always had cookies enabled, and until the last couple of days that I've visited, it's never kept me logged on.

I still remain logged in, it was never a problem.

Get a REAL browser :)

Yeah, one that can handle Google Reader and Gmail, right? Got it. (http://flock.com/)

It is a real browser, and one of the better ones....I used Firefox for a long time, but after the latest version of IE came out, I realized that had actually improved on what Firefox had done. I've been bouncing through browsers for a while, but haven't gone back to Firefox.

FF3 may change your mind. I like that I don't have to remember specific URLs to get to old sites. So, if my Pownce URL is pownce.com/evan, I type in evan and it will know the pownce URL and any others using evan in it. Small, but it's a welcome change.

So, what your saying is that once again its playing catchup with Opera? Opera takes it one step further, and if the page is in the cache and mentions evan, it would return that as an option to select ... all from the address bar.

Yeah, one that can handle Google Reader and Gmail, right? Got it. (http://flock.com/)You can go for a "social networking browser" if you like, but you know full well that Opera handles Gmail and GReader.

Does opera have the add-on support like Firefox?

Does opera have the add-on support like Firefox? For the most part it doesn't need it, because the functionality is built into Opera.

RSS Feed? internal.
Emai? internal.
Adblocking? internal (or via Greasemonkey, which is supported internally as well)
Bittorrent? internal.
Download resumption? internal.
Chat client? retarded, but internal.

Passes the ACID2/3 tests? Was the first to do so.

The next release of Opera (9.5 - I am a 9.5 beta user and have been for many months) is supposed to have a plugin/addon support system similar to Firefox, but not many Opera users really care.

I've always had this problem with the Revision3 site, I have to log in every time I visit.

It's only the Revision3 site for me, I don't have cookies turned off or anything silly like that.

I can never forgive Opera for restarting a download when I was somewhere that the internet wasn't very fast and the file was large. Its download manager leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I'll try out the new version.

I know what you mean. A lot of times when tech burns you, you instantly DTM it and never use it again. I used Opera under Ubuntu for a while. It wasn't great. It was bulky compared to FF. But I'm back to basically running Windows full-time since that's what I use at school (Server 2k3 but I think we're gonna move to Red Hat once we hit the Linux Administration modules).
