View Full Version : Jinx T-Shirts
I have gotten many shirts and items from places like jinx before. Every time I wash them they shrink, or the back gets all out of shape or something related to that. I am wondering.
Is there a special way to wash these shirts, or something?

I wash my iFanboy shirt with the rest of my clothes. Nothing special. And I've never had any shrinking problems. Though, I know what you're going through. A lot of my threadless shirts shrink, and it's annoying as hell.

cold water - medium or even lower dryer heat.... low preferably.... don't eat during the washing process ?
Shrinking, and like warping in the back of the shirt, and weird stuff like that. I have ALWAYS had this problem, but never my friends. I am just wondernig if I am doing something wrong, or if I just have bad luck.
Yea i know cold water, didn't really think much of the dryer part, I think I try to hang dry most things now..

No, not really. They're just generally pretty crappy quality shirts. Kinda sucks, since they're one of the predominant purveyors of "geeky" clothing.
I actually stopped buying from Jinx and Thinkgeek. I'd love to show my support for all these shows, but the quality just isn't there. The Digg shirt isn't bad... that kind of thinner, sheener material? But the heavy cotton shirts just blow. The black fades WAY too fast and they all shrink or bunch up. Sigh.
I pretty much get all of my shirts from Threadless, now. But they aren't geek related... just the quality is much better.

Yeah, I have noticed the thick bunching. That's just unavoidable, I think.
Glad it's not me, but I was hoping it was me and I could fix it. Arg...
I guess I will just have to be more careful with washing and try to not care as much :(

Well, what I hate is that they don't shrink EVENLY. Just as you said, they bunch up. So what winds up happening is the hem of the shirt doesn't fall evenly. So it looks like you're all lumpy and fat and weird and stuff.
As someone who's ENTIRE non-work attire wardrobe consists of tshirts and jeans, I can't stand going around looking all sloppy and lumpy like that.
It's a shame... but shrug. I prefer more than just black tshirts, anyhow.
Yea I guess you can't do much. I also would rather wear some cool shirts with logos and things on it then plain old colored ones.
Yet I CAN"T STAND IT, when they mess up, it can't just be the shirt, there must be some amazing secret way of washing them lol

A real thick, bulky cotton. For the life of me I couldn't tell you why that kind of thick cotton is a bad thing, but it never ends well when a shirt is made from it.

most all my shirts from Jinx are great, have stayed the same, i think one of my older shirts is faddeing now(the sun is trying to kill me) but none of my rev3 items look old or anything.
Love the digg shirt the most.
Well then how do you do it lol
Seems like me and everyone else has problems with them..

My Diggnation shirt is over a year old and still in perfect shape. I wash everything on cold and dry on high though, so that might be what keeps it looking good.

I've never noticed any wierd bunching on my Jinx shirts. A few of the original shirts I got last year are starting to fade. Also my TRS shirt shrank alot and now is unwearable outside the house. Otherwise I'm happy with Jinx's stuff.

Hoodies wouldn't be the same material, so I'm going to say just shirts.

My diggnation shirt is over a year old and the lettering is starting to crack from washing. My digg shirt, rev3 shirt, and hoodie are still in really good condition though. I also bought the girls diggnation shirt for a friend about a year ago and that's in good shape for the age.
I've never had any problem with Jinx clothing.
