I've been wondering for quite some time if I could crack open a NES controller and fit a apple remote inside of it. Would I be able to take the leads (is the word leads? Im sort of new :/ ) from the buttons and replace the apple remotes buttons so I could use a NES controller as a apple remote. I obviously would have to find a place to put the IR and battery but otherwise i think it shouldn't be that difficult. I want to do this because I've been playing with Remote Buddy for a while now and I've been able to use a normal apple remote and set the buttons as keyboard presses and I can use it as a controller for a NES emulator. Would this work at all? Is there some insane old school way to prevent hacking of the controllers? And what kind of screw driver do I need to open it, I see that there's a weird triangular screw instead of a roberts or philips. I want to just check through all of this before I buy another apple remote (or two).
