Okay, so I'm going to need a rental car for my trip to Las Vegas/Arizona that I'll be going on in less than two weeks.

I'll need it on March 11th from about 9:30AM through March 17th, 2:30PM. I'm going to need to pick the car up in Las Vegas, NV, and return it to Tucson International Airport, in Tucson, AZ.

I've done some searching, but wanted to recruit some help, to help me find the best deal possible. I'm not sure of all the search sites, so there may have been deals I've missed.

So what are the best deals you can find for a rental with the critera above?

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

Haha, no. Had you goin' though.

No, just trying to get some help finding the best deals, so I don't get screwed in the ever-increasingly expensive world of travel.

I am signed up with just about every "club" deal there is ... so I generally had upgrade coupons (you can also find them online).

One way rental interstate is going to cost you some $$$.

Best trick, google for a coupon with someone like Enterprise. Look for an "upgrade" type deal, then instead of renting an intermediate, rent the smaller size at the cheaper rate. Renting away from the airport helps too - less "airport taxes".

I tend to use Enterprise, or Alamo/National (all the same company now ... but play them off against each other) ... and avoid Avis, Budget, and Hertz. You can often get a decent deal by using a AAA membership. Insurance can be an issue - check that your auto policy covers rental cars.

End story is - its a crap shoot. You need to balance coupon codes, with discounts to find the optimal rate, and it will be different each time.
