Not everyone lives in a residence where they can install an outdoor antenna. Not to mention, running cable from outside to in, is not fun whatsoever. The antenna they showed makes having "rabbit-ears" in your house a little more pleasing.

By the way, the rude attitude only comes off as childish. Just because this is the internet, it doesn't mean you should act that way.

Empty, as in HEAD...

an antenna can be Mounted IN the attic.. as long as you DONT have a metal roof.
HIGHER is BETTER..is the Major thing about antennas..
Rabbit ears SUCK unless you are in 10 miles of the Transceiver.

Rabbit ears are Good to FIND a signal, but NOT for a GOOd picture, there are NO rabbit ears that get a good picture .

First of all, "transceiver" means transmitter/receiver. That is what a cell phone or two way radio is. TV stations and radio stations use transmitters.

Second, range varies depending on topography. You could be two miles from a transmitter but shielded by a mountain and not get reception. This is one of the reasons CATV companies were started back in the '50's or so.

Yes, an attic is a great place IF the attic is accessible or you have one. Think apartment dwellers or if one rents a house without full access.
