Hey guys. I am noticing what looks almost like a tracking problem on the bottom of my large xvid download. Did you guys pull this episode off of tape or something? Never had this problem with any show before.

Thanks

As a feedback, I always watch Tekzilla in large Xvid format. While the quality have fluctuated I never experienced anything similar to your post. Actually, last few episodes have continuously improved (Roger-effect?) and the very last one is technically best in my opinion (sharpness, color, contrast, lighting, stability, lack of artifacts/annoyances...). So, for Tekzilla crew: keep a good work and for poster - do check your system you may find some bug.

PS I watch it via mplayer/MythTV on Linux -> to 42" LCD so I'd notice...
PPS I am particularly happy with your encoding as the machine is quite old/not powerful yet plays Rev3 shows in Xvid Large without a glitch.

we've been tweaking our workflow some, and our xvid encoder is now using a slightly newer rev of the xvid/mencoder code base. (which also gives us the speed bump we need to move the encoding over to the mac farm we use). Along w/ a couple tiny tweaks, we have noticed a slight increase in quality. I'll keep an eye out for the bottom-of-the-frame distortion, see if that's anything on our end.

I was watching using quicktime and noticed the same thing this episode.

yup- looks like the glitch was present before the re-encode process (in the master). The proper ppl have been made aware.
