Hey all.

I only recently bought a PS2 last summer for the sole reason to play guitar hero. I am now going to buy a PS3 for rock band, COD4, and to play with my other friends online. I do not have an HDTV and can't really afford one. I want to get a nice monitor that I can use for both PS3 and computer. I'd like something that has HDCP so I can watch 1080p. Size I'm thinking is the 22-24inch range for the screen as I'll be using this in a small room.

Any monitor suggestions would be great, I can't wait to get my own PS3 and stop playing on my buddy's, maybe I should just by a projector like his roommate did............

I have a 19in LG monitor. Sorry i can't remember the model. But I have never been more pleased with how great it is. LG monitors have a great picture, resolution, and contrast ratio at a very low price. I am able to go up to 1080p on my ps3 and xbox with no problem and even higher on my pc. I would look around there site and check out what they have. It's been over a year since i got my monitor so im sure they have something even better now.

fyi: not sure if LG makes a monitor with an HDMI input but you can just get an HDMI-DVI cable as a good substitute.

edit: i believe when i bought my monitor it was only $250

Do you know what the resolution of the monitor is? I'm having trouble finding one that 1920x1200 for under around 400$ (Canadian, but it's now equal). Saw nice ones at 1600x1050 for around 250. Should I really go all the way to 1920x1200?

I believe mine is 1600x1050. Thats really all you will need for using it on console gaming. If you want to do pc gaming you can go higher but you probably wont notice that much of a difference.

All i know is that i am extremely satisfied with my LG monitor. It has a great interface and picture quality for a reasonable price.

If there is anyone else on the forums who knows of a better brand or price please help this guy out. I was in his same situation a while back and it was hard to find out all this info on my own when i knew nothing about it.
