Myst movie

For anyone interested, a Myst movie is being worked on by two people in collaboration with Cyan. They have a production journal here http://mystmovie.com/. Right now it seems like they are working on the script, but really need more support to get things moving. From the sound of things, it will be based on the Myst novels. Just thought I would pass the message along to anyone interested.

I was wondering when anyone was going to do this. I read the Myst novels years and years ago, and wished they would make a movie about it. I might have to get my books out and re-read them.

Ahh... very cool. I have every Myst game and actually finished them all. It'd be interesting to see the adaptation. However, a first person pov would really suck.

Are they basing the games off the games, or the novels? I know the novels were totally different than the games were, and I could totally see the novels being made into a movie. Especially if Rand has a large hand in the script and conversion from novel to screen.

I probably should have pointed this out in the opening post, but if you go to the section titled Foreword by Rand Miller (http://mystmovie.com/foreword-by-rand-miller/) it gives a bit of a vague breakdown on what the movie will actually be, and talks about Cyan's involvement.
