My number 1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK

Kylie was famous because of her sister Danni, who was already famous. Danni was in Young Talent Time when she was like 10.

so after some fighting and grumbling:
US: I Honestly Love You - Olivia Newton-John
UK: Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
Aus: The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace
Kylie was famous because of her sister Danni, who was already famous. Danni was in Young Talent Time when she was like 10.
I hadn't heard of Dannii until a few years ago...I'm assuming it's to do with location.

I hadn't heard of Dannii until a few years ago...I'm assuming it's to do with location.
Johnny Youngs Young Talent Time was a weekly variety show that Danni was a reg cast member on starting at about 10 yrs old. It wasn't until 'Neighbours' the prime time soap, started, that Kylie came out. She became number 1 female of anything and Neighbours became biggest show ever in Aus. Then the popularity hit UK. Most of the cast from the 'Neigbours' heyday, recorded albums after retiring from Neighbours and they all had success in Aus and especially UK. Kylie with Locomotion. Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe were both on Neighbours at one point. When Danni got to old to do Young Talent Time, (when that chest popped) she retired from the show and wasn't really heard from for a few years as Kylie's pop went through the roof. She left YTT at 14-16 as a little girl with big boobs, then she came back years later, 20 yrs old and she came out all slutty and stuff. I've actually seen her perform as a kid, both her and me, several times during theearly 80's in Australia.

My Birthday (18th November 1989):
UK: All Around The World - Lisa Stansfield
US: When I See You Smile - Bad English
AUS: If I Could Turn Back Time - Cher
And another thing about today (8th August):
2002, The UK's biggest undertakers Co-Op funeral services reported that bereaved families preferred pop songs to hymns at funerals. Top of the list was 'Wind Beneath My Wings' by Bette Midler. Other songs included 'Angels' by Robbie Williams and 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion. They also reported some unusual choices including 'Another One Bites The Dust' by Queen and 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' by Wham!
How ironic, Another one bites the dust
And as one final sidenote, anyone know the significance of these dates?
April 5, 1994
December 8, 1980
October 5, 1992
26 December 2001
April 21, 2003
Some good some bad.

geez, that killed it... Anyway, here are the answers
April 5, 1994 The day kurt Cobain probably killed himself (bad, but the reasons why he felt the need to do this gave us the music so...)
December 8, 1980 The day John Lennon was shot (bad...)
October 5, 1992 The day Automatic for the People was released by REM (fantastic album by fantastic band - good)
26 December 2001 The day Steps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steps_(group)) broke up (best thing to ever happen to the music world)
April 21, 2003 The day S Club (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_Club_7) broke up (the second best day in music)
Yes, I loathe cheezy music...
