ep-53 Firefox pipelining

In the episode Patrick said to use 30+ for the setting Network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. On the MozillaZine.org website says to use a value between 1 and 8 with 4 as the default. (1 disables the feature) what gives?

Firefox is hardcoded to only have a max of 8. Anthing over 8 just gives you 8.

But doesn't 30 SOUND so much FASTER than 8?
