There's really nothing to it. All you really do is pick your teams and watch from there.

GO HEELS!

Gah...it makes me sick to my stomach to say that.

I'm going with Kansas. They've underachieved every year under Self, so I'm expecting a breakthrough this year like Donovan had at Florida a couple of years ago.

Ryan, it's a sick joke that the committee put UK against Marquette so they can have the pleasure of knocking us out for a third time. It's starting to get old. I expect UK to give them a good fight, though.

fred
03-18-2008, 01:50 PM
I'm scared of Kansas. They've been disappointing a lot lately. I've got them losing to Georgetown in the Elite 8.

A lot of teams knock on the door for a few years before breaking through. Disappointments and then all of a sudden success. That's why I'm looking at Kansas and Tennessee and Memphis. I'm seeing Memphis and TN getting bumped off early and Kansas making a big run. Of course, it's a crapshoot, and whoever knows the least about college basketball will probably win this.

fred
03-18-2008, 02:24 PM
There are a lot of other examples throughout sports though of people who consistently knock on the door but never come in. They can only prove me wrong one more time.

You're right, it IS starting to get old. But I was way more pissed when UK had to play EKU in an opening round game. That was maybe the only time I openly cheered against the Cats.

I've got 14 out of 16 correct picks so far. Much better than last year.

fred
03-21-2008, 01:04 PM
Summary from yesterday

3 people won 14 games
6 people won 13 games
3 people won 12 games
3 people won 11 games
1 person won 10 games

The range of possible points at the moment is 162 to 190.

I've got 14 out of 16 correct picks so far. Much better than last year.

I got 13. Fortunately though, my three losers were picked to lose in the next round so I can still get 189/192 points (theoretically).

Final Four.

Blame Tony Kornheiser. I changed my bracket constantly because of him.

Final Four.

Wow. As a UK alum, I appreciate your belief in the Big Blue. Even I had them going out in the second game.

Now that my team is gone, all I have left is to root against UCLA, Duke, and UNC.

From his radio show or PTI? on his radio show he would criticize people then, take their picks.

Kornheiser? Come on! Wilbon is the guy to listen to..

Wilbon is great, but he doesn't know his college basketball. :D

I love PTI, but it's obvious that Kornheiser hardly even watches sports.

Last year, I came in second. My largest mistake last year? Believing in Duke.

This year, I'll be happy to finish in the top half. My largest mistake? Believing in Duke.

There seems to be a pattern forming.

Well...my bracket isn't completely destroyed. I would probably be more concerned if the old alma mater Wisconsin wasn't still in the tournament. I actually would have preferred to see them play Gerogetown. I am uncomfortable with Wisconsin Basetball being favored. That being said...Brian "Polar Bear" Butch needs to be fed!

horatio616

When do I get my original Fred sketch?

fred

what was it supposed to be a sketch of?

horatio616

Well actually I just made that up. That would be a good prize though. I was thinking Aquaman riding a sea turtle would make a good sketch.
