im getting a handheld but question is Ds or PsP...?

hey i was wondering anybody could help me determine witch handheld to get. now i use to have a psp and it broke so bummer. i like psp because i like the games but im dissapointed in battery life and i want the handheld for a trip to amsterdam...no not for the diggnation live show unfortunatley. anyways also i have a few problems with the Ds im not to big a fan of some of the franchises like zelda brainage warioware and what not but i think if i got a Ds i might like them a bit more. another problem is im left handed. whats the battery life on the Ds lite? so if you could help me out id appriciate it please try not to be to fanboyish about it i want a filtered opinion please. thank you.

DS Lite would be my first choice.

I won't tell you which system to get but will say most the better games on DS are Non Nintendo franchises like Square or RPGs or Point and click adventure games like Hotel dusk or graphic novel games like Ace Attorney series and many other franchises and genres..DS is the most robust in types of games and amount of games.(but is rather poor for FPS and Sports games)

Batt life is around 10hrs or more...I rarely have seen my light turn red.
most games let you choose which side you want to use the controls on ESP the more heavily touch screen based games some games make little or no use of touch screen ..each games uses the controls very different and this is nice considering all the creative use it can be.

Also note DS is just for gaming and while there is ways around this but initially it won't do any multimedia PSP stuff.

Unless you're heavy into multimedia and emulating and PS2 or sports/FPS
Then you really can't go wrong with DS.

Otherwise just get a PSP again.

yeah i did a bit more research i think im going to go for the DS theres a lot more intresting titles than i thought i think im gonna pick up advanced wars also anybody got anyword on it?

Love the DS. My bro got one for Christmas and I spent a good amount of time on it to say, DS rules. PSP looks promising for hacker/homebrew purposes, but I love me some Nintendo.

I love my DS Lite and I got one for my girl friend as well, she loves it. I like how it closes so you don't have to worry about the screen getting scratched or damaged. There are so many games for it and I'm even able to let my friends 3 year old play with it from time to time. It's been said before but get Puzzle Quest, great game. It's at the right price point and they're a lot of fun.

I'd buy the DS, but if you don't like any of the game for it, don't buy it just for battery life, or hoping you will come to like them.
