- the 'the more you know' shooting star
- aborted fist explosion
- spider from ceiling

The before mentioned Steve additions were truly awesome. However, as campy and silly as it was, my personal favorite was the body parts and Axe body spray flying as Alex ranted about people exploding in Rambo. I watched that episode with about 5 friends, and every one of us laughed for a good 10 minutes following that gag.

As soon as I saw that list I said "What, no Steve?".
The show just wouldn't be as rad without him.
I think my vote would be for "Dan's pie chart of love".

Yay, Steve!
I remember the airplane flying across the top of the screen to coincide with the noise coming from outside the garage, vomit spraying (from Alex's mouth?), body parts flying and glowing balls!
Those all cracked me up.
Steve needs a category!

Uh, I hate to say it, but we sorta already did a Best-of for Steve, like 30 episodes ago. See below.

Yeah. I know. I dugg through the old topics to find that vid again.
That was 30 episodes ago. Are you saying you don't want Steve recognised in the one year celebration?

Funny, Anakin asked the same question with the best of lists were said. I was assuming it would be a special easter egg like the best of the year stuff. It didn't occur to me that he would be left out, he is such a huge part of the show. He's like Charlie in Charlie's Angels. Technically you could have a show with just the Angels, and yet...

I'm sure he can (or will) sneak something in himself...maybe not obvious...but we've seen him add such things in before (was it the Oscar picks? I forget.)
Edit: At least I hope he does if they leave him out.
I support the addition of the Best Steve Moment category.

Love the sentiment, here, guys, but you realize that Steve is a part of every moment that actually IS nominated. There is no "left out" going on. Steve worked just as hard (harder?) on all of the moments that are nominated in the "best of" segments as Alex, Dan, or I did.

I know, but I feel there's a difference between his general duties editing the show or whatever, and the little sparkling moments of genius he injects into the episodes every now and then.
People are voting for the segments where you guys - as hosts of the show - get into a heated discussion or, more likely, make a hilarious faux pas. We're not only voting on the content or topic of the discussion, we're voting on you guys and what you did or said in each segment. And it only seems fair that we also vote for the things that Steve did or said.

No, I'm just saying pick some new ones. Something that wasn't in that video and hence, hasn't been celebrated yet.

It's a one year celebration - those all happened in the last year. I pulled some from your video because they are further back and perhaps a little hazier, and invited people to contribute their own favourites from more recent episodes. And even if you consider your video to be a celebration, it wasn't shown on the actual show. I'm sure there are people out there who don't frequent the forums and would like to see them.
That being said, I don't really want to get into a fight about all this, so I suppose Jeff might have a point that we're kinda celebrating him in these clips already.

Definitely! I am all for a Steve Moment award! :)

03-10-2008, 08:21 AM
I too think Steve should get an award.
I can't remember what show it was. But there was a gore joke... at some point... no idea the circumstances. All I remember is gore... then I laughed so hard I had to rewind the episode because I missed a chunk.
All the 'Steve moments' are good, but some are pure genius. It's really where the fourth personality comes into the show, surrounds the show, embraces the show, raises the show, and... I hate to say it, but... sometimes, that little 'moment' makes the show.
Jeff... we know Steve wasn't 'left out', but those 'moments' are such a unique part of the show, they can't go un-awarded.

Without Steve I fear this wouldn't be the Totally Rad Show, it would be the Almost Totally Rad Show. Steve just brings that last bit to make it complete. =)

Steve just needs an award, not for a specific moment, but because everything he does is rad!

Listen, I am by far the biggest Steve fan here, and I'd be the first on the bandwagon to give Steve an award, but what could we give him that surpasses the love he feels every Wednesday when TRS comes out. I mean, it's not like any of us have the resources to create a Bender-sized statue of him so big that it throws off the axial rotation of the Earth, so what can we do that would be worth while?

03-11-2008, 04:38 AM
We could try making the statue, I suppose.

I have to say that I forgot (sadly) some of those Steve moments. My favorite that I can always remember is the Sassafras and Fancy Pants joke and the one where Alex mentioned he felt like he was in the Home Shopping network after they got their TRS Hoodies. Both were epic. I feel Steve should get an award also for what he does, because he could just edit the clips and call it a day, but he adds the epicness to the show where there is just totally radness. Yea, without the little additions, the should would still be rad, but with them, it makes it totally epic. =) Keep it up Steve.

Blackstorm, check out my old montage, it's got both of those moments in it, although that is really old. The montage only goes up to episode 20, but I think it's weird that nobody mentions moments after 20 that are their fav Steve moments. Odd.

Yea, I know. I remember the Sassafras moment because I took pictures of me in front of my projector screen with my TRS Shirt and Hoddie.
The other one, I did see in your video. Nice video by the way. I was thinking of doing something like that, but I never got around to it. =/
As for not mentioning moments past Episode 20, I can't remember much of what happened in Ep 51. I have a really sporadic memory. Sometimes I can remember things from months ago that were basically meaningless, and other times I can't remember what I did an hour ago. =/
