Well, I thought that Kevin was more down to earth then that but I was wrong. Well here's another long time fan leaving the scene. Hey, idiot, they've mentioned that running this stuff costs something like $20k per month. Easily. Where is the money supposed to come from? Out of the goodness of their little hearts, are they supposed to go find white collar jobs to have the money to pay for it all, and still somehow have time to actually do Diggnation, so that you can see the new episodes a couple days early? ONLY if they charged to see them at all, such as you can't even see them a week later without paying, would you have a point. As it is, you are being an unrealistic little ass who clearly has no idea how expensive it is to live in California. I managed to get my rent down to $1,305 from $1,500, more than many people make in a month. And Kevin's smack in SF proper, an area even more expensive.

So tell me just how you expect DN to be done without charging for anything. Kevin's as real as his monthly rent payment. And yes, money changes a person. If you don't have it, you go from a person with a home to a homeless person.

This post really doesn't justify a proper response. Except to say, It just isn't realistic to expect people to not seek compensation for work. You say you enjoy Diggnation. Isn't that enjoyment worth something to you. If it's not worth paying for, I don't see the problem in waiting a few days to see it.

Maybe your Mom will spot you a few bucks a month for helping her with your laundry or cleaning your room.

the guy was expressing an honest opinion that i'm sure a lot of, ignorant, people feel! so it's not quite trolling. he seemed devastated not bent on destruction of the forums. Anyway, it was a show of solidarity here, b/c we all know we love Kevin and if we were in his position, we might even exploit it MORE! I think Kevin's shown plenty of discretion and is a totally awesome guy. Digg is an AMAZING site.
