They had the Lambic Raspberry, which I think Alex compared to rotten berries. But Lambics Peach beer is really good. (one mans opinion)

There's some sort of beer with "monkey" in the title that's supposed to rock. What is it?

Lambic. That's the stuff, I think.

Quite a nice one from down in Cornwall in the UK is called "Clouded Yellow". It's a wheat beer but damn nice. I might have to send the lads a couple.

I do love a good Corona with a lime, but I can't secide if I like it because it's such a good beer or simply for the image in conjurs up (warm tropical beaches), and the relaxed atmosphere associated with it.

This beer is amazing. Broken Halo (http://www.widmer.com/beer_brokenhalo.aspx) from the Widmer Brothers. It's great warm also. Try it!!!

2 great beers:

Alexander Keiths and Sleemans Honeybrown, as a 3rd choice, Corona is always good.

If you would like to try some beer you should go for the Belgian beers, there are some great beers.
Duvel - Very nice:D

Westmalle (Triple or Double)
Kwak (If you can get it has a great glass, just like a mini-yard glass)
Leffe (The double on a cold night is very good)

But there are many more

Beer is such a personal taste .......

I love a sweet light lager......and when I say light, I mean light taste, not LIGHT ALCOHOL.

Favourites are (pretty close to in order)......

Stella Artois (Belgium)
Carlsberg (Denmark)
Tennants Lager (Scotland)
Peroni Nastro Azzuro (Italy)
James Boags Premium (Australia)
Kronenburg 1664 (France)
Budweiser (The Brewed in Australia under license one, not the pi$$ they make you drink in the US)
Heinekin (Holland)
Becks (Germany)
Grolsch (Holland)

Contrary to the ill-informed opinion of Kevin and Alex, I wouldn't touch Fosters Lager (not even a true lager, actually a bitter) with a barge pole.

This is a tuff one. It depends on where I'm having the beer. If i'm out some where it depends on what they have on tap. I don't buy bottled beer unless its for home consumption. When i'm out i'll ususally have what ever stout or lager the place has on tap. At home, well that's even harder. I tend to keep Killian's Irish Red, Sam Adams Black Lager, and Sierra Nevada IPA in the fridge. Guinness from time to time. I also buy what ever brews look good that week too.

Have only tried it once, never will again. Suggest other beers such as the James Boags or a nice Cascade a better choice. Do not drink Fosters, you have been warned. But on some others I like,

Guiness occasionally
Westflatera (something like that, its brewed by Monks and is only available at certain times of the year, one of the best. Monks rock!)
Hoegaarden/ Wicske WitBier
Budvar (Orignal Czech is very good)
Old Speckled Hen (Very nice)

There are more......

You never realise how many types of beers there are untill you get a thread like this. Where I live, you can get around 20 different beers I'd say, now I see 20,000 types lol

Nice...gotta start trying some new ones lol

It seems that Kevins beer choice has been poor, as of late. If I get a bad beer, i poor it in a cup it makes drinking it a bit more easy.

bman

you really think so, I think you can taste a beer more in a cup, so leaving it in a beer would be better.

You have just named all of my college favorites. I used to be all about Tennants extra but I hear it is just for chavs now.

I can't figure out how it is that people didn't get that Kevin and Alex were kidding about the Fosters thing. Does irony just not come through the "tubes"?

Lambic is an aquired taste. My wife, who hates nearly ALL things beer, loves the Frambozen (raspberry) lambic. I call it the "un-beer." My favorite Lambic is Liefmann's Goudenbond. It's a sour brown ale. Again, an aquired taste. I'll admit I hated Lambic until I had it fresh in Belgium. Just get some of those salty Belgian fries...
