In Ep. 23, Patrick sys to use the Apple's Airport Express, because he could not get his Linksys to work. He tried to setup this same wireless print server on Dl.tv and failed. I have setup 2 different print servers in my life, one is going on 7 years old (3 port, $75), and the other one a cheapo from Fry's (1 port, $20). I made all my mistakes on my first one, but did not have that fancy software they give you today. The software is crap, to setup any consumer print server, all you need is what comes with the OS. I setup the fry's print server with out using the oh so helpful CD, and just used basic networking skills and what comes in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux (Ubuntu), and OS X.

I have setup instructions on how I setup my print servers.

PS.
To Forum Admin, why do you hate "******" -> "dot info" TLDs?

I agree that print servers are not that hard if you know the networking basics. The average user probably does not have the chance to acquire that knowledge. Networking basics might be a good show topic. I noticed the info about ip addresses was kind of slided over in the episode about the firewall. That really needs to be delved on at least a little bit. I have an old hp 10 mbit jetdirect that I still use. I bought a fries 3 port unit for under thirty bucks (on sale) to replace the hp if it ever went down. My hp is still churning. By the way, a bunch of your personal web links are not working.

Which personal links not working. I am still building up the site with information, so there might be links that just show a blank page or are a copy of another. I will get to them soon, and just put a "Under Construction" on them.

It seems the older print server gave the easier instructions, but not as user friendly. I have never really considered a printer server a standard consumer device. They are still to expensive for what they are.

Thanks.
